Warhammer 40k

It’s more than likely that the pedos simply picked up on a common, repeating symbol that gives them some sort of misplaced “we wuz here” vibes. Triangles definitely came before organized pedo rings.

I wouldn’t assume anyone with a beast snagga army was a pedo just bc of this. We all know those people play Tau 🤷‍♂️

Thread tax - I like the new chaos space marine models but the box sets are underwhelming and honestly they should have done more. Guess I’m putting more Forgeworld noise marines together.

The necrons are boring and overpowered.
“Uhh ackstually, I wasn’t killed I instead teleported instantly 38,000,000,000 miles to my tomb world and regenerated.”
“Uhhhhhh acsktually I regenerated from losing my entire body, and also I’m heavily armored and my weapons are super strong and basically indestructible.”
“Uhh ackstwoally there’s like 5 billion unkillable supersoldiers on this planet and they’ve been there the whole time so, ha.”

Overpowered Mary Sue faction with a tiny handful of remotely interesting characters. Never seen them lose in the lore.
You can kick their ass in rogue trader and enslave their fake god
Fact: The galaxy belongs in the stomach of the Tyranid swarm and all other factions know this fact to be true and inevitable in the back of their minds.

I hope and pray the origin/motivations of the nids is never elaborated on.
I don't need an origins episode for the nids. I do think they are technically the most boring faction sans the gene stealers because they don't really have a voice. That's fine, but I think it would be cool if they had more intelligence and evolutionary ability to communicate like they did in the early lore with the zoats.

That's always going to be a risk when using simple, geometric shapes. It's not even the first time that Ork glyphs have run into that problem - just look at the symbol for "orky".

I would be fine with the named Tyranids like Deathleaper, Old One Eye or the Swarmlord showing more "personality" but I think the second you have nids or the hivemind start directly talking you ruin the mystery around them.

I don't think anyone would like xenomorphs as much as they do if it was singing and dancing like spaceballs to lure out Ripley lol.

AoS reveals of new characters:
Butch dyke who is oppressed by Archeon but became his best warrior despite that.
Butch dyke who is oppressed by Sigmar but became his best warrior despite that.

Anyways, shit like the picture below will always force a chuckle out of me.

To each their own, I guess. I find Space Marines to be the most boring faction for being tired, overrepresented and endlessly fellated by the fanbase. That being said, I find most human factions across all of fantasy to be the most boring, though I do like the Imp Guard and the Empire for their own aspects.

Keeping certain factions enigmatic is basically what keeps them interesting, in my opinion. The moment the Tyranids get an active voice, they will be Zerg in all but name, and Starcraft sucks.

I'm not very enthused by a new AoS. Yay, we get to play The End Times. Again. Ratmen are cool and all, but they act like Skaven on a larger scale is something to really be fussed about. It's not. At least they'll get some updated models though...

It's unlikely to happen since the last edition was vs. The Kruleboyz, but a launch boxed set against the Ironjawz and thus proper Orcs is long overdue.

“Here’s your dwarfs faggots, Hope you hate beards, manliness and love NASA-inspired vehicles.”

Ah, glory to the Dark Gods, that airborne Chaos Lord has paws and has the same, awful flying pose the Primaris guys have and the goofy jump pack from the current (gay) Raptors.

The on-foot Chaos Lord looks better, could use more heads though.

We need new Raptors, or an upgrade sprue, kitbashing these old-style guys is a bitch.

Could 3D print legs for raptors if that is an option for you. Seen a bunch way back. But yeah, I genuinely had hoped for a new set of raptors, but I suppose finally having rules for a leader for them is good enough.

Remember that Rogue Trader 1st ed was made by british humor.

The orks were german themed. That swastika is entirely there so you can edgily tip your fedora. Blood axes even had the spiky helmets and armbands.

This was replaced by the more tribal afrika inspired current orks in later editions.

Blood axes are still closest to their roots, being civilised orks.

Gorkamorka racing game's trailer, an ork is doing the good old roman salute at the end, and it has a memeable thumbs up. Game got cancelled, sad.

I’ve got a lot of early ork models and there’s definitely some “problematic” (their word not mine, I love them) models. I’ve def got a Nazi and a Japanese suicide dive bomber ork ☺️

Yes, Stormboyz have always been very blatant about their inspiration (it's in the name) and there was some inspiration in that direction even in units where the models weren't plastered with ϟs.
That said,I'd still say that the ork glyph itself has more ambiguity, or at least more plausible deniability.

I kind of enjoy stories about the T’au. My biggest problem is that if the T’au are present, imperials are immediately fodder. Particularly with space marines. I understand that the T’au losing once would change the course of their faction and possibly cripple them for years but damn the Imperium writ large and the space marines in particular lose like 90% of their strength when paired against them.

Also, dumb question but don’t the Ruinous Powers have the most to lose if the psychically weakened T’au come to power? I know they’re not appealing as daemon-food but I feel like some foresight would point them out as a significant threat being as they are largely immune to chaos corruption.
One of the Blood Gorgon books had a fight with the Tau brought up by one of the BG's. He and his squad had been sneaking through an irrigation channel on a Tau agri-world, got caught waist deep, and were forced to retreat. They gave a good account but there were just too fucking many Tau with too many pulse rifles and its a bit hard to charge up and out of a fake river when you're getting nailed from all directions.
I always felt that with all the other shit going on for the Imperium, they just don't have the dedication to outright annihilate the T'au. Plus since the T'au are willing to actually work with the Imperium to a point, they're a lesser evil to put up with.

As for the second question, Chaos is starting to take a hold on the T'au. In Farsight's book in The Arks of Omen, Khorne managed to manipulate him for a bit. Hopefully they build off of that because it is an interesting development for them.
To be fair, if any of the Tau would have Khorne come for them its Farsight. Dude's lived long enough and killed enough he's probably managed to make an impression. The only other guys would be Kais and Shadowsun but they get popped into cryo whenever the Ethereals don't need them to kill shit on account of the very limited life spans the Tau have. Between the tiny life spans of the Tau and their limited Warp presence very few would get noticed for any reason.

Except Aun'va, but a Culexus of all things did him in, which is the one Assassin you would think would be the least effective against the Tau given their complete lack of Warp fuckery. Strange...

This, and makes armies revolve around beating 3+ saves or nothing.

Not to mention the warhammer pygmies.
