Containment Random Thoughts & Questions

Either way, "Honor Roll" believing -- or wanting to believe -- that "cartoons are real in another dimension" shows how stupid he is, or how much his life sucks, or both.
More the latter than the former, really. He knows deep down it's all bullshit, I.E as we've mentioned before, he WILL drop the act if something blindsides him hard enough like that obnoxious "I'm possessed by Sonichu!" phase ending upon the dawning of G5 pony. But his life is just so empty and he's such a piece of shit that he'd rather live in his fragile world of make believe than actually try to improve his life in the long term, because he will always go for short term benefits over long term.

I'm thankful for the few times I had corporal punishment because I was a fucking retard who would do utterly insane shit. As in, nothing but hitting this retard will instill the message that this shit is not allowed. Without a couple damn good whackings as a kid I would have ended up in prison.
I got spanked a single time as kid for being a little shit while grocery shopping, and never needed to be told twice after that. Shit works. And it certainly doesn't leave the sorta mental trauma so many limp wristed faggots think it does, cause I only know this happened when I asked my dad if I ever got spanked as a kid. Can't be too traumatic if you cant even remember it happening :story:

However I think we all know chris is too slow in da mind for this sort of thing to have ever gotten through to him, and probably just would have fueled his strange hatred for men even more.
I think people can grow up fine without severe violence (I'm against "corporal punishment" BTW).
Equating getting a swat on the ass to "severe violence" is retarded and makes you a faggot.

The real reason Chris hates men is because he hates the way society and pop culture sort of frames people being successful in life as a sort of competition. One that Chris places dead last in constantly partially due to crippling autism but more because he simply doesn't fucking put in the effort for a long term payoff that could permanently improve his life. He went troon because he wants to be compared to women who he thinks have less rigorous standards in society. And now he's gone sizo-messiah with the Jesus larp as a result of him wanting to be just the most specialist snowflake alive AND his perception of a life of (largely self-caused) hardship being something he compares to what happened with Jesus in the Bible.

Even MHS may have contributed to that coddling by placing him on the honor roll despite his glaring extreme lack of intelligence.
His grades as we eventually learned definitely didn't point to Honor Roll, but given that at the end of the day it was nothing but a cheap cloth piece over the gown, it was well worth it just to give a little more encouragement to Chris to shut the fuck up on the last day anybody at MHS had to deal with him.

Not that it stopped him from running off stage crying when he wasn't given any of the awards he most certainly didn't deserve to begin with, but by then MHS didn't care. The Chandlers were finally out of their hair for good.

To Christian-
Well, it's been 3 years now at Providence and it's all over! Where has the time gone to? The most important parting words I can leave you with - well, are to always remember this. You show people where your weak points are located, then they will know how to push your button. If you never show them, they will never know. I hope you will have an enjoyable summer and come back to visit. Do you very best at Manchester, put your best foot forward, and treat others as you wish to be treated.
Love,
Mrs. Sanford

I finally know what the word "artifice" truly means.

She knew he would never listen and here we are.

MHS had to deal with him
Because of his bloated ego -- though nowhere near as bloated as now -- no one hung out with him, except some "gal-pals" who were paid to do so. And that yearbook had no signatures in it, as revealed in that rental house tour. And yet despite all that, and how he lived back then, he still looks back on MHS as the high point of his life.

Seems he was that kid who'd always come straight home from school, then park himself in front of the TV until dinner - assuming the Chandlers even had dinner as a family - and again until bed. Summer vacation was likely almost non-stop marathons of TV and vidya.

Not directly aimed at Chris, but I saw this reply from a MLP comicbook artist to someone who also couldn't let G4 go

All good, sane points but of course Chris would just babble about how he can talk to the ponies and anyway he's a goddess.

Now that I think about it, why was G5 made in the first place? If G4 was so popular with an unexpected audience, why not keep it going like Chris wanted? I'm thinking bronies could be cut out of the same cloth as people who go to Star Trek conventions, and those sound fun and harmless to me. More seasons of G4 could actually be profitable. The little girls are playing with their tablets, not the little plastic figurines that had heads that fall off.

Several reasons

1. Product line refresh. G4 lasted from 2009 to 2019, the longest of any pony generation and Hasbro basically pioneered the idea of rebooting franchises every so often to draw in new audiences. To this end, it should be noted that G4 product actually is still being made, both within the toyline (or what little there even is where you can find it), and more with subcontractors. Symbiote just announced the Princess Luna plushie which is like, the 10th they've made of G4 characters.

2. Distribution. MLP G4 was the only truly lasting legacy of Hasbro's attempted in-house controlled cartoon channel; The Hub, by which it was the biggest headlining show retained by Discovery when they took back ownership of the channel and made it Discovery Family. G5 was Hasbro trying to experiment with different distribution methods to get around the biggest crippling flaw of The Hub, which was that it was a non-standard channel (being it used to be Discovery Kids, and so was only available to many in certain channel packages that were not standard). So they turned to online youtube minisodes and Netflix movies/episodes batch released. This had mixed results because Hasbro was fucking stupid and tried to promote G5 as literally the 'next generation' of G4, continuity wise, but because of some legal rights agreements, Discovery gets money every time ANYTHING from G4 gets mentioned in G5. Kind of a problem when your main character literally worships the original cast.

3. The show was running out of ideas. Within the brony fandom, the last two seasons generally aren't viewed positively because the focus of the show kind of shifted into this weird non-pony stance half the time with this nonsensical friendship school, with some episodes outright just repeating morals from earlier seasons. But by the end, the show also had a theatre-release full feature film, multiple for-TV movies, a relatively successful spin-off with Equestria Girls, and it's become part of the cultural zeitgeist that's literally made its mark everywhere (including the International Space Station - one guy who worked for NASA laser printed computer boards with Celestia and Luna drawn on them, hidden in the circuitry). By most metrics, the show was by far one of the most successful non-adult cartoons in history.

It should be noted that what Chris wants, which is the rest of the main cast gradually becoming god queen ponies themselves, is something most of the brony fandom does not want, since it's been over ten years since Twilight became an alicorn and people still aren't over it. There's no scenario here where Chris actually ends up being happy, because everyone becoming alicorns just wasn't happening.

Because the MLP franchise is one of the most profitable things Hasbro still has going. I'm pretty sure G5 was an attempt to continue the franchise while shaking off the adult weirdoes who want to fuck the ponies. Like Chris.

Given how much it is being talked about online right now and how many videos are on Youtube at the moment given that a new movie is out am I the only one who is shocked Chris hasn't tried to incorporate Dune Lore into his fan fiction and hasn't added some form of Muad'dib, Kwisatz Haderach, or Lisan Al Gaib into his name?

I mean Paul is the ultimate power fantasy and it is the type of thing Chris normally grabs onto, Paul can see the future and force people to obey with just the power of his voice and everyone worships him. Normally if something like this pops up on Youtube alot Chris can't wait to larp as it, it seems odd he is not using this power fantasy at all.

I'm sure it had nothing to do with the decision, but the original characters had pretty much gone through their arcs three seasons before the show actually ended. And yeah, it wasn't like Star Trek where you could pretty much go on space adventures forever; they had to throw in new characters who needed their own Friendship Lessons while the main characters sort of hung out and expedited stuff.
What do you think is the central theme of Sonichu?
Chris-Chan has All the Powers.

Dune would be incredibly boring to Chris because it wouldn't catch his attention in the slightest. He'd never read the books, they're far too high level for him, but the media adaptations also would bore him to tears. The opening sequence of Dune: Part 1 with the Gom Jabar? It's a scene almost entirely colored black and he would be confused as to why Paul would react to just sticking his hand inside the box - the idea there's something inside the box that's making him feel pain, yet not actually hurting him physically when the hand is removed just fine, would be beyond Chris's ability to comprehend.

Remember that Chris has the mind of a child and has proven he understands nothing that isn't shoved in his face as far as exposition goes. Take the opening of The LEGO movie, where all the exposition you get is Lord Business getting the Kragle is bad and Morgan Freeman's character gives an incredibly vague prophecy about him being stopped. This is the extent of exposition complexity that Chris would be able to understand. Trying to explain the concept of the Kwisatz Haderach to Chris in any kind of detail, despite it ironically being literally what Chris claims to be (a reborn Jesus-like figure who just 'knows everything already' to make an extremely gross oversimplification for the sake of discussion), would fly right over his head.

One tard's lust for absolute power.
Not to mention a nice window into how Chris literally refused to grow up. The main villain of the comic is literally the personification of his MHS graduation, years after the fact, and Chris probably to this day still thinks highly of his high school years when people his age have long stopped giving a shit about what happened. Because Count Graudon won in the end, and Chris never could defeat the fact his childhood ended no matter how much he wishes it didn't, to the point of wanting a literal cartoon apocalypse to stop the march of time.

It might be pastel ponies to you, but it was a source of comfort, love and acceptance to someone else.

I think Chris is an obnoxious motherfucker who deserved worse, but that doesn't mean I can't understand how hard it is to let something you love go.

It's sort of like the actress who played madam sprout saying that Harry Potter fans need to grow up and move on.

I can understand her way of thinking because she doesn't think in the way of a millennial but it's the choice of the person who loves what they love to let go.

The problem that we run into is when the person who doesn't want to let go interferes with other people's lives.

Chris has caused pain and discomfort to people because he can't keep his feelings confined to Twitter. It's childish of course, either way, but the problem was never that he missed G4 the problem is he won't let other people move on with their lives.

Yeah, good point. I guess I was giving Chris too much Credit.
I am in the middle of rereading the series and the thought crossed my mind that Paul is exactly who Chris thinks he is so it seemed strange to me he hasn't latched on to it but I was forgetting how stupid and childish he is.
The fact that he is nearing the half century mark and is still mad he had to leave high school really says it all to me about what a waste he is and why he shouldn't be receiving any support from the tax payers, he isn't going to use the money to better his life and one day get to a place where he stops taking money so he shouldn't be getting the money.

Chris adored his MHS days, even after learning his 'friends' were all coerced into being his friends by his father and the principal, because life during those days was simple. Everybody made the hard decisions for him, school was just activities and sometimes learning (because as we saw from the excavated homework, he didn't learn shit), he thought people liked him, and generally he was completely oblivious to the reality of his situation even back then.

In retrospect, taking into account how all of the insanity of Chris, as embodied by what Sonichu is and represents, it seems rather appropriate that our records of Chris firmly establish Sonichu's creation as being the response to Chris being told "NO" for the first time in his life, as far as we know. All because he couldn't use Sonic on a stupid CD cover.

I personally am curious to see where he goes with this G5 shit, because G4 isn't coming back anytime soon, and it wouldn't be the way Chris insists it must be for "preservation of the timeline" anyway. Obviously the Russian Invasion of Ukraine will end before Chris lets this stupid crusade of his go, and when it does, that's a big piece of Chris's entire argument gone in the blink of an eye.
