Yelling at your own dog definitely isn’t a nice thing to do but I wouldn’t consider what Austin did in this clip “yelling like a lunatic”. The guy absolutely SCREAMS and goes on unhinged rants against his own parents and audience on a daily basis with far more energy than he’s ever given towards little Trapster, at least from what I’ve seen.

Normally if Trapper acts up he'll just yell from his desk but in that instance he goes to Trapper, yells in his face then gets visibly frustrated when the dog starts acting up again. The desperate yelling out for his parents to do something shows he cannot bottle up his frustration for even a moment. I used to think he got annoyed at Trapper barking because he was on stream, but it's clear his tolerance for anything that annoys him is 0 from him saying "I can't stand that fucking bark, dude."

If the dog kept barking and his parents weren't around, what would he do?

Maybe "lunatic" is too strong, but in my mind this level of anger and frustration at a yappy dog like Trapper is lunacy. It's too bad he can't just close the door.

Tax avoidance is completely legal. It's tax evasion, filing false returns, whatever, that is illegal.

The bracket tabulators who keep derailing the thread with the totally inbound any time now and not at all irrelevant in the long run tax sperging keep forgetting that Austin is more likely to be fucked up for not filling previously than he is for answering their questions about where the income is from, how much the income is and how much of it is gone streaming a gambling stream to make it in the first place on a yearly basis going forward. But he never keeps any of it. There's nothing to take, and no wages to garnish. There's no reliable way to intercept his cash flow since it's all digital/crypto and mostly done on the gambling site's servers anyway.

All they can really do to him is prosecute for tax evasion and imprison him, but they still wouldn't get any money that way either.

As funny as an IRS arc would be, there's no real reason for the IRS to actually try it.

This is unironically his problem (and the problem of most gambling addicts). There's a limit to how much you can lose, but no ceiling on how high you can go.

The funny part is there is an upper limit. Casinos can (and do) step in when someone is winning too much and say "congratulations on your good luck, sir, but I'm afraid we can no longer allow you to play at our casino." They can literally just ban anyone for winning too much, and you have no recourse if they do. Even if you're not cheating and they don't think you're cheating. Just win too much for their taste, and they'll escort you out.

Usually they're not dicks about cashing out your winnings though unless they have good proof you've been cheating. They'll just escort you to the cashier cage, cash you out, and walk you to the exit.

Of course, the other "upper limit" is breaking the bank, but nobody ever really does that these days.

The source of my implication that Austin will have tax planning set up to earn spend then tax on the leftovers is the fact his family has revenue streams from real estate assets paying them in the house he rages in when he felts. This implies a level of financial structure above and beyond what would be a normal expectation in a typical replacement lolcow thread. I already stated that.

Yeah, granting for the sake of argument that his family has their shit together, the shit cohesion has clearly successfully transferred to Austin himself (by osmosis I guess? DNA methylation maybe? in any case big words are definitely involved) in every aspect of his life, such as his career, being the number one law respecter in his class, the way in which he doesn't self harm or abuse life-over-tier drugs and most importantly in his wise use of money and general good decision making.

There is every reason to expect that his family's ability to plan ahead for taxes will magically manifest in BMJ via the above mentioned occult mechanism.

i would prefer Bossman to turn it around someday and become better.
