No article yet as this just happened, but could be big. One of the largest bridges in the world according to Wikipedia.

Yeah, that post was in poor taste. If nobody lost their life maybe I could see this as funny in a ironic way. Another sign of the decay and collapse of the USA but 6 people just doing their job, making ends meat, have lost their lives over a freak accident. You really can't find humor in something like that. Especially over the fact that several families are going to be having Easter without a member of their family.
Who gives a shit

MTA dispatch. I am sure they have Channel 16 in their dispatch center because the harbor is their responsibility. They dispatched units to block the bridge but sadly it sounds like they didn't have any contact info for the crew working on their bridge.
You go to work every day at your shitty job, that starts at 8 PM and ends at 8 AM.

All you do is supervise a half dozen glorified toll booth enforcers whose highlight of the night might be a drunk driver crashing into a side wall at 2 AM. Come. 8 AM that same morning, you hand the shift over to your replacement, who looks as bored and beat down by repetition as you do. You go home to your hovel in Montgomery County (because a 1 bedroom studio is all you can afford in this State), and can't even kiss your wife. Because she's out working her own job so you both can make ends meet to pay rent on your hovel, while the kids have long since left for school.

This has been your life. Hour after hour. day after day. your one meaningless, useless job. until one night, halfway through your shift something happens. it's no longer routine anymore. it's time to earn your paycheck.

What percentage of posters here have actually been claiming this is some terror attack, exactly? I haven't read through all 50 pages of a thread that invites politisperging, but the first few didn't have been seeing that as a common narrative.
I don't think the guy was talking about claiming it's a terror attack; rather, it was more about "oh shit went wrong? Must be because of pajeets!"
Which, don't get me wrong, there's a lot of things to shit on the street-shitters about (would that make us street-shitter-shitters?) but in this specific case, it seems things just fucked up independently and the pajeets actually followed the rules this time.
So as much fun as it is to shit on them, it gets old and beyond a point, starts obscuring ACTUAL news and info about the accident.

What the fuck is wrong with you? This is still your country whose destruction you’re so casually cheering on.
That anyone can even pantomime concern for people living within 100 miles of D.C. is astounding to me. If the cargo ship had instead been carrying a nuclear payload, its benefit to the world would be a net positive.

Spare me the plight of the commuters. I'm more concerned about the crabs.

But will you trust the 'actual' news to accurately report on this likely then being the fault of shoddy rich-Chinese shipbuilders, or in the least those in charge of keeping the ships in working order? Still leaves someone outside of the west at fairly direct fault for multiple deaths and the cut off of a fairly important artery of trade and travel, likely for several years to come. A&N can get repetitive, and the target here was probably off, but it still relates to the third worldization of everything.

Cool man, I’ll just go fuck myself then.

My calculations show the boat (if it weighed 100K ton and traveling at 8 knots) hit with the force roughly equal to a 400 ton ball of iron traveling at near 300 miles per hour.
What is the conversion rate of "boats running into bridges" to "Boeing 767s flying into buildings", and would it have made George Bush jealous?

I'm not defending his opinion about this horrid incident but if you listened to his podcast you'd known his absolute blackpill takes about the usa is not surprising. He regularly says it's a dying country that deserves to be robbed.

Kindof with on null with this one because I'm racist. Insofar as "its still your country bro" if this was like 2004 I would agree but its really not. The "posterity" the founding fatheres referenced is not the infinity niggers that inhabit baltimore, nor is it the retard poo niggers who's unmaintained floating scrap pile lost control and crashed into the bridge.

I carry a gun.

this will make a fantastic brick immortar video.
And like all his other videos, this will probably be some bullshit lack of maintenance by some shitty third world company that owns the boat, like it always is.

The boat would have been in the control of a pilot when they lost steerage.

Are you saying this was the harbor pilots fault? Like ffs, if the ship loses power that is 100% the crew's fault. The harbor pilot broadcast a mayday as soon as control was lost which was why the bridge was closed when it fell. Why even bring up the pilot at all?

8,000 people die every day in the US. Do your hearts bleed equally for all of them? Why are these 6 so special?
They're not special. On the other hand, most of those 8,000 don't die on video. I think most people are just shocked by the footage of a huge bridge crumbling, but they are not actually emotionally affected, probably. But what do I know
