Community Quiverfull Movement Lolcows - Starring the Duggars

An FLDS member has pled guilty to child sex trafficking after being arrested a few years back for trafficking a group of 11-14 year old girls across state lines in a storage trailer. It sounds like he was working for a self-proclaimed prophet (not Warren Jeffs) and had been doing this shit for a couple years before he was finally caught.

Fucked up this shit is still happening even with Warren behind bars.

Yeah, he's gonna get busted in a male prostitute situation in a few more years, along with Paul Oliges (sp) and at least one of the Duggar duds and maybe a Rodlet or two as well.
I know this is a joke, but all of these people run in completely different social strata. David Waller wouldn't be caught dead with any of yhem. It's crazy how even a cult like the IBLP has different castes. The Rodrigues family are untouchables.

Dave and Tarded Cil did show up to Nurie's wedding, but only because Nathan is Priscilla's little brother. Josh and Anna Duggar were also in attendance at the Nurptuals, for the same reason.

Jill hosted the cheapest, saddest wedding possible despite this being her only chance to have a captive audience of IBLP royalty. She probably had a meltdown when Dave Waller published the first wedding photos on his instagram, complete with obligatory fundie face eating pics of the Nurthlings. Jill likes to tease these things out over weeks; Dave Waller ignored her and posted photos the same day as the wedding.

I believe he and Pris announced Jill's miscarriage last year at one of their church services as well. Asking for prayers for her, IIRC.

FLDS is shit and anyone who disagrees should read Under the Banner of Heaven by Jon Krakauer.

Just want to second the recommendation for this book. It's also good if you're interested in American history: he goes back to the Second Great Awakening and the origins of Mormonism, outlining how Mormons got pushed farther and farther west. He does a good job of showing how Mormonism is a much a socio-cultural construct as it is a set of religious beliefs.

I rewatched the South Park "All about Mormons" episode after reading it and that really drove home that the episode is just plain factually accurate.

FLDS is a splinter group to begin with, so it's not surprising that it's continued to fragment. If you want to read a history that follows the FLDS into Mexico, check out The Colony: Faith and Blood in a Promised Land by Sally Denton.

I was actually thinking about this while maintaining my god damn zoo of animals
(Chickens, cats, finches, etc etc) and it struck me- this woman not only has a zoo, but a circus, that includes a fucking show dog.
Where is the dog? You know she isn't splerging to board it, does she leave it at the mercy of the hoard? Does she ever correct Janessa if she abuses the dog?
We know for a fact she doesn't walk it. Even still, dealing with her manic episodes, for a small dog that is bound to have anxiety issues due to being little, how much worse is it?
I hope I'm wrong, that the dog is pampered and loved tremendously. That the kids take it for walks all the time, and is so used to travelling it sleeps like a fucking rock amidst the chaos.
Ugh. I shudder to think how she'll react once her third and fourth girls fly the coup, think she'll start hoarding animals herself to neglect?

JillRod? She probably makes the kids take care of the dog, like how she makes them do all other chores

Meanwhile in the Autism Thunderdome, a late 2023 account simping Gothard

While the guy is an idiot, @Abimelech is just another 'domer, they tend to be sexist and argumentative, not really news.

He does have a point in that you tend to over criticize I think, at least for a lot of Christians. I won't sperg about it though.

Wait, why were you even bothering with the Thunderdome? You should know by now it's literally meant for retards to screech at each other, not have conversations.

A good portion tend to be either religious or have idealistic views of religion. Kinda like how Jilldo does with Amish.

Im not quite sure where Jill and Shrek live, but I think it's somewhere south of Canton and not too far from Wooster (yes, that's how Ohio people spell it). So if you draw a line from Wooster about 50 miles to the NE and drag that line down all the way to about 50 miles to the SE of Canton then you've covered most of Amish Country in Ohio.

Jill may profess her love for the Amish but the real reason she likes the Amish is that CPS is pretty much non-existent down there. The Amish sure as fuck don't want anything to do with them and CPS, for better for worse (mostly worse), takes an arms-length approach to them. So the lack of CPS dealing with Amish and the Mennonites means that the Jilldos of the world will almost never get any scrutiny due to where she lives.

I remember when the barndominium was originally bought, it was found on Zillow, and proven to be in Wooster. Of course, the original Reddit thread is gone as of 3+ years ago, so you'll have to take my word for it.

That said, all of Tim-boy's reviews and his original business shit was also out of Wooster, and the family also regularly imposes their performances on Wooster fairs and the like, so, they are pretty much for sure in the area.

Edit: Found it.or at least what was claimed to be the house at the time.

Yes, I remember the same thing. They're in or near Wooster.

That's why I'm surprised one is familiar with a notable sex pest like Gothard.
They're a bunch of religious conservatives fond of arguing religious and conservative talking points online. I don't see how it's unexpected that they would be familiar with the work of a religious conservative leader whose teachings have come under scrutiny online in recent years.

As someone who appreciates your posts, I think it's appropriate to say that personally, I feel a lot better mentally when I don't seek out material that will just make me upset. I definitely know that my posts are written better when I'm not annoyed or trying to "win" a debate. You are never going to convince anyone online, especially not a 'domer, to change his mind by arguing with him.

Feel free to ignore me, but I care about all of the good posters here. ❤️

The Rodrigues home address may be found in the OP of their thread.

Ruby Franke's diary was released a week ago. It came up on a random YT video for me, I'm having trouble finding the actual document but plenty of summaries are floating around. It was right for her to go to jail, but jesus fuck, I hope she spent some time in a psych ward before that. That woman has a severe mental illness, probably schizophrenia.

It's not an excuse, but I do wonder how many of these horrorshow Mormons who abused/murdered their kids like Franke and Lori Daybell have some kind of serious mental illness. Shit like thinking your kids are demon-possed zombie or w/e definitely seems like something schizoeffective.

I also kinda doubt Mormons are great about properly identifying and treating mental illness, since I know their evangelical counterparts definitely aren't (stigma and ignorance about mental illness in conservative evangelical communities is still a huge problem and I've personally encountered people whose relatives told them they were possessed by demons and other crazy shit).
