Most autistic thing you've purchased lately - c'mon feel the cringe

I spent a ridiculous amount of money on new hammocks for my vermin.

In my defence, summer weight hammocks are often hard to find, as most hammocks, even ones made by local sellers, are made in fleece. However, there is a good reason for that: fleece generally stands up better to the gnawing of little teeth. To add to the autism factor, all of the new hammocks are in incredibly cute Australian pop culture prints. Given the scientifically proven fact that the speed with which rats destroy a hammock is directly related to how much you like it, I've basically spent $80 on hammocks that will be completely ruined in forty eight hours or less, when $5 hammocks from Aliexpress would be infinitely better value for money.

But they're so cute!

Thread tax - I bought a second human bone d20. I had a bargain price offered to me and I figured why not.
I'd be paranoid about that and do a chi-square test on it using the method in the article entitled "Be thy die ill-wrought" from Dragon #78. Something as organic as bone is likely to be biased.

It's autistic but you should test it to see if it's objectively cursed.

I’ve got that issue pulled up and I will give it a test and let you know what I find. I knew downloading the entire run of Dungeon and Dragon both were good ideas.

I can’t say if it’s cursed by an evil spirit or not but it sure as hell has not rolled well for me today. It’s currently staring at me 😩

A box set of series 1-4 of Digimon. Cause fuck paying for streaming services and they often remove shit because licensing. Also the Digimon Tri movies since they're supposedly aimed at adults that grew up with the series and I haven't watched them yet. Gonna get the other series and movies at some point too. I might just rip them and sell them on, haven't decided yet.
Plus seasons 1-8 of Scrubs. I seem to be collecting stuff that I think is going to be censored or otherwise taken down. Scrubs would certainly get cancelled if it was created today, which makes me sad.

A travel bag for toiletries.

It's Kuromi patterned.

Solar eclipse glasses in preparation.
Will you get to see totality where you are? I saw the 2013 eclipse. Indescribably beautiful. The most awe inspiring, closest thing to perfection you'll ever see is the Diamond Ring, and it is there and gone in an instant. I cried like a pathetic little bitch with a skinned knee when I saw it, because I knew I'd never see anything that perfect in my life again.

Yup. I’ll need to drive a bit, but it’s in the state

I cried when I saw the Grand Canyon the first time. I didn't know a geographical feature could be that painfully beautiful.

I got a 12 lead Welch Allyn ECG machine with leads and electrodes.
Please go door to door with it and offer to run a strip for people for a low, low cost.

I got a different kind of needle threaders! Not that I don't have a ton of needle threaders already, but this is a design I hadn't ever seen before and I like to ~try new things~. It works with a shorter loop, so I'm hoping to use it when I'm at the very end of a piece of embroidery and don't want to start a new piece of floss. Also: fish.

Next month, I’ll be spending my money on nothing but Elvis Presley memorabilia because I don’t like the way how his legacy has been treated in the last few decades.

I’m talking Elvis T-shirts, Elvis CD’s, Elvis hoodies, *Elvis posters
Maybe, but I’m on the fence of that one
Please post them when you get them. Huge Elvis and Motown fan because of my Dad and hearing his songs reminds me of him.

That looks so cool that I can already tell it will make my wallet and funds sad from just looking at it. I’d rather stick with Elvis’ face on a T-shirt and hat if that’s the case.
They were made around 20 years ago, I think, so unless you found one at a garage sale, it'd be in $300 range.

You may recall the ancient meme, when they were in stores:

I did not realize there was such an invention. And here I've been threading like a heathen all this time.

These specific needle threaders, or any at all? I grew up with only the standard ones with a crowned head on them, the ones with a wire that sometimes breaks so they come in a multi-pack:

and then later I ran into the one-piece metal kind, which really work best for big eyes:

There are also the multi-step big automated plastic ones, but those suck. There's nothing wrong with not using a needle threader, but it's good to remember that they are an option, especially in the middle-end of a project when you're already pissed off and the last thing you need is to wrestle a thread.

I did a little project where I embroidered with my own hair. 1) NEVER AGAIN 2) needle threader helped a lot.

I suppose the latter in a way. At some point I must have pondered "someone must have invented a better way to do this", a la Homer Simpson juicing an orange by crushing it against his skull.

I guess in my mind I always pictured a device to do this would be more complicated.
