You're thinking of laser. Laser is cheap but not permanent; electrolysis is time-consuming, expensive and painful, and permanent after enough rounds. I've noticed troons tend to go for laser, because it's about ritual, not results. Not a great plan for any area you're prepping to become a vagina, but some people say a fur lining is the height of luxury.

Some workarounds for this scenario:
"You can't eat with us cause this is only for people in X department/only for employees of more than 5 years experience/we don't know you well enough/some other bullshit that doesn't use the trigger word "girly"."
This legislation means troons will still be excluded because they are creepy weirdoes who are insane, but we just can't tell them why they're being excluded using gendered terms.

Workplace bullying is a repeated pattern of behaviour. Those workarounds (if repeated and/or part of a pattern) could potentially give Miss Lovely the basis to apply for an anti-bullying stop order. There is no compensation attached to that, but a lot of vindication for the troon and hassle for everyone else.

Even if she doesn’t get up (either because the behaviour didn’t happen, or it did but doesn’t meet the legal definition of bullying) the employer has to pay to defend it and manage the fallout, which could include:

• performance managing the alleged perpetrators
• rearranging work to minimise the risk of another claim from Miss L
• concurrent or subsequent claims by Miss L of a workplace injury from the behaviours

The alleged perpetrators will be named in the judgment (even if the troon loses) and future employers and loony activists will be able to google your name and find it.

TL;DR fellow Aussies, these workarounds don’t necessarily work here. Try not to arrange stuff in front of teh tranz, and educate yourself on workplace bullying. Do not get yourself named and shamed in a bullying complaint.

What do you do if you (or a vulnerable relative) is in the hospital and a troon CNA walks in to help with personal care?

If it were me then I’d immediately ask that I be attended by a woman (and that a Troon isn’t one). If it were someone else I’d ask them (if I was unsure of their feelings) what they wanted, then act accordingly.

I did have a situation come up a few years ago, but a specialist referral rather than a hospital inpatient one. My GP wanted to refer me to an endocrinologist who he claimed was an expert in female hormones. Then he warned me that Dr Rosemary used to be Dr Robert. I wasn’t comfortable about that referral, and told the Dr that his actual expertise was in dosing men with female hormones, not women. I can’t even imagine having to sit in that Specialists waiting room with all the troons.

Re the electrolysis guy: I was going to call bullshit on how much he spent, as even at the top end that’s absurd (one place I looked at that’ll get you more than 150 30-minute sessions). But factor in a combination of it being really hard to remove facial hair this way when there’s testosterone kicking about, and (hugely likely) the clinic rubbing their hands with glee at this eternal income source and so perhaps not being quite as effective as they could be, and yeah, maybe he is being fleeced as much as he claims to be.
