Smartest 8 year janny account has realized that Reddit is a corporation that is trying to make a profit; is confused about why they have been sweeping it up for free for years
I've been the main moderator of the same community since 2016. This evening, i approved my last comment.

I'm leaving for two reasons:

  1. Reddit went public a week ago. I didn’t volunteer to work for a publicly traded company, i volunteered to work for a community. As long as i live under capitalism i accept that my labor will generate value for shareholders, but damned if i ever do it for free. (this is not a Faulkner quote)
  2. April 1st is coming and i'm scared they might do another r/place. Doing in r/place 2022 and 2023 has left me dejected and bitter and i don't want to feel obligated to participate again.
Leaving felt like ripping myself off of something warm i've been comfortably glued to for a long time. Still recommend it for anyone still giving Reddit shareholders free labor

Never forget about the /r/place marsey that was a direct and clear threat to any admins and moderators. It literally nearly killed dozens of admins.

The idea that roving bands of zoomers can crybully their way into getting any and all content removed from websites and hosts is not something I'd think of as a win.
They're the same ill-informed retards who repeat the same shit about KF having a body count or hosting CP ad nauseum around the normalfag circles of the internet.
I don't really give a fuck what kind of fiction some degenerate puts on their AO3 page unless it's something I can post here for us to laugh at. It's disgusting and creepy and they probably need to have their heads examined but then again that would mean anyone who ever enjoyed Game of Thrones or IT or fucking Lolita all need to have their heads checked, too.
And don't water down the definition of CP, it's one of the most evil things that exists in this world and some coomer fapfic writer making stories about the chick from Naruto banging his OC doesn't meet the criteria.

rdrama painted a cat on reddit's /r/place event in 2022. The admins went out of their way to bypass pixel dropping cooldowns (usually 5-10 minutes) to paint over this evil cat emoji which triggered them so much, and they got caught by normie reddit accounts on posts that got 100k+ updoots.
Numerous powerjannies winged about it being a threat and some complained about rdrama doxing /u/chtorr (an admin) with the help of the evil kiwi farms (because nobody can make fun of people on the internet without the evil kiwis being involved).

Through some weird interent synergy John Green (a YA author) added DFTBA to it, meaning "don't forget to be awesome" and reddit retweeted John Green when he saw this and posted about it before Marsey was killed by the admins throwing tantrums.
Reddit admins were so assmad that they would not just ban accounts if you placed a pixel in this region, but they would delete your account. Like you couldn't even log in and see a banned message like you normally get, you'd just get told that the account never existed. It was a peak janny moment that had been coming for years because of how much certain admins hated /r/drama for pointing out their hypocrisies. (But it was totally all about an orange and white cat emoji being a threat to human life). This was done at a time when there were 4chan logos, swastikas, and pixel asses plastered all over /r/place which made it extra funny. (Also sneed was there!)

Looks like we know who writes all those bad webcomics with "look at me, I'm unique!" characters. On a serious note these people sound depressing, You can tell they never explored more than the city they were born and raised in. Let alone really researched history or how the world functions. Each one sounds like the "smart kids" who took the Daily Show at face value and that's how they been getting their news since then.
