Playing though Rouge Trader now and I am loving it.
This is what I wanted from a WH40k RPG.
Only 5 hours in, but I am loving it.

I found an site that has some of the older books freely posted online through Yandex. Of course, adware will always be an thingMaybe not the place to ask, but what is a good kindle type product to read old GW books? I reached the point where everything I haven't read is too expensive to buy used, and I wouldn't be surprised if ebooks are as much as a clusterfuck as modern streaming with billion different services
Well, if you do want to try ebooks AND you aren't afraid to get your hands icky by touching torrents, there's a guy on 1337x called NeverWinter. Around 2000 ebooks packed neatly into folders for your own reading pleasure.Maybe not the place to ask, but what is a good kindle type product to read old GW books? Is that a Miss. Trunchbull reference? Looks very similar. Would be great if true.AoS reveals of new characters:
Butch dyke who is oppressed by Archeon but became his best warrior despite that.
Butch dyke who is oppressed by Sigmar but became his best warrior despite that.
Anyways, shit like the picture below will always force a chuckle out of me.

Same. Story is excellent even if it launched rough. They fixed most of the issues though and I'm looking forward to the dlc.Playing though Rouge Trader now and I am loving it.

I just have a box of plague marines and champions I’m going to use as legionnaires for kill team since the KT legionnaires are too Black Legion styled for my tastes and I want something different plus don’t like Black Legion. (It’s an older purchase in a box of shame never put to use so it’s a way to put them to use) But yeah they’re over the top ridiculous style wise. Even the coming Night Lords kill team looks ridiculous. If I ever do a Night Lords army in 40k I might just use primarily HH stuff instead of 40k chaos. Shit, I should just use HH to build out a Legionnaires/NightLord KT as an excuse to build up a HH army.Btw, if you’re building a Death Guard army, then for God’s sake just use HH MKIII marines, the modern plague marines are cartoonish garbage and a bigger ripoff than the Primaris marines (you only get seven plague marines)
I know the children were the golden boys favs and so they originally were purple to represent royalty (I think?) but it looks great and there really is a lack of purple in 40k when you look at the official paint jobs of all the factions.I’ve got an Emperor’s Children army themed around Inductii and their whole schtick is that their praetor was one of those “in the wrong legion” types, like he would’ve jived more in a different one. But they’re made from the sons of workers and menials, not pompous noble sons.
Like as soon as the emergency inductions were ordered, he immediately began filling his company with stock who weren’t stuffed shirt retards, that isn’t to say that they’re “nice guy EC” it’s pretty much poor kids going off to college and joining a really messed up fraternity.

Essentially, a guy who should’ve been an Imperial Fist gets free reign to reshape his company and goes directly against the recruiting practices of his legion and created a cult of “true brothers” out of hate for the nepotistic culture of his legion.
Their leader knows they’re fucked and that mistakes were made along the way but it’s way too late to turn back. The scheme they’re getting is the 40k Hedonistarii colours, bit more reigned-in to show their warband cult’s commoner origins.
Frankly I just use the paid version of Moon+ Reader on my Android devices. If you use iOS instead I can't directly recommend anything but found a thread on le Reddit here:Maybe not the place to ask, but what is a good kindle type product to read old GW books? Google books is fine too, can upload your own epubs to there and they are in't cloud forever.Frankly I just use the paid version of Moon+ Reader on my Android devices. If you use iOS instead I can't directly recommend anything but found a thread on le Reddit here:
You can probably guess how I might be hugely biased in this matter but here's a REALLY good fan-written work set on a Forge World:Any audiobook recommendations? Really like audiobooks for work or walking.
I've listened to the Eisenhorn/Ravenor/Bequin series, Gaunts ghosts and most of the Ciaphus Cain series and really enjoyed all of them (Ciaphus series got a bit too repetitive imo)

The “Dark Compliance” audio drama is pretty good (and there’s a rip on YouTube) so is “Warmaster” both sold me on Horus and made him one of my favourite characters in the setting, credit to his voice actor for that.Any audiobook recommendations? Really like audiobooks for work or walking.

As long as we're still recommending audio books / dramas, I just remembered another one that stars not only my beloved Mechanicus but alsoThe “Dark Compliance” audio drama is pretty good (and there’s a rip on YouTube) so is “Warmaster” both sold me on Horus and made him one of my favourite characters in the setting, credit to his voice actor for that.
