Red Alarm is also a must-play, in my opinion. It is phenomenal. Red Descent, basically. The CDi games are terrible and weren't even made by Nintendo. Wario Land VB was made in house by R&D 1 who also made Wario Land 1-4 and the the 2D Metroid games and is one of the finest platformers ever released.
Let's be honest, the only good game on that platform is Wario Land. Even Mario Tennis and Mario Clash suck.I wish Nintendo would release the Virtual Boy games to us on NSO.
That probably will stay, since it's an important plot detail. It's the main reason why TEC falls in love with her. He even tells her that he wants to "observe her". I think the devs took inspiration from the movie "Demon Seed" from 1977Do we know if they've kept the Princess Peach shower scene in the remake? If not, that might also be a target.
The closest that we ever got for a Mario Clash remake is the 9-Volt mini-game from Warioware GBA.Let's be honest, the only good game on that platform is Wario Land. Even Mario Tennis and Mario Clash suck.
3D Tetris is interesting. Those four are about all there is of note. Maybe that Atlus game.Let's be honest, the only good game on that platform is Wario Land. Even Mario Tennis and Mario Clash suck.
Yeah but not enough for Nintendo to waste time and money to release it on the Switch.3D Tetris is interesting. Those four are about all there is of note. Maybe that Atlus game.
Yes.if not a collection then at least as seperate entities but make them updated HD versions or something... in full color with the option to change the resolution to original virtual boy mode for that "authenticity". Release them for like under $20 or something (possible under $10 if they are generous or if they wanna put this on sale)
Without the 3D effect they'd probably need to rework it, I know they would with Wario Land VB. 3DS really was a missed opportunity.Yeah but not enough for Nintendo to waste time and money to release it on the Switch.
It's my unicorn. I was so close to getting one late 2022. But the bidding jumped to 400 plus the last 30 seconds. They don’t like thinking about their biggist mistake and regret.
What does the 3D effect actually give you? Make closer items look smaller than far away ones, just like you would in any game that takes place in three dimensional space. I never got that about so-called 3D games.Without the 3D effect they'd probably need to rework it, I know they would with Wario Land VB. 3DS really was a missed opportunity.
I only played a little of Wario Land VB, but according to a good review by Lonely Goomba the effects are used pretty heavily in the final stage, and effects gameplay. What does the 3D effect actually give you? Apple is currently in bed with Sega. They have 2 games on their games subscription thing, a Sonic one, and a Puyo one. i don't see nintendo joining in anytime soon.I wish Nintendo had some serious dirt on Apple because an M1 would be a damn good Switch2 chip.
We'd be lucky to get PS4 level, you can forget about Series S.I'd like to post this here before literally everything leaks. I was reminded by the Harman Smith thread.
Nintendo has a pretty simple path for making the "Switch 2" hardware look good, enough to encourage more third-party ports. It only needs to be good in relation to the Xbox Series S, which the industry has to cater to for years to come.
They can probably get away with a weaker CPU and GPU if the target for handheld mode is 720p or 1080p and 30 FPS. Games might even use DLSS at this stage. Then they can lean heavily on DLSS and clock speeds to pursue 4K or higher FPS when docked. Upscaling native 720p or 1080p to 4K is always possible, not great but it might look ok if designers are careful. The rumors point to the use of ARM Cortex-A78 cores, which are much faster than Cortex-A57, and Nvidia Ampere or Lovelace for the GPU architecture.
RAM is the fun part. If they go with 8 GB, everyone will shrug. 12 GB would surpass the Xbox Series S, which has 10 GB, 2 GB of which is running at lower bandwidth. 12 GB would already spark interesting conversations about porting games to it. It seems impossible that Nintendo would opt for 16 GB, but if they did Nintendo fans would celebrate.
They can improve storage easily. Switch 1 has 32-64 GB of internal eMMC, and the max read speed may be well under 250 MB/s. They could give the successor 256-512 GB of UFS or a slow PCIe SSD (even PCIe 2.0 x1 is faster, higher-end Steam Decks use PCIe 3.0 x4). Matching Xbox or PS5 storage performance is unnecessary.
I have no plans to actually buy a Switch or Switch 2, but I might pirate and emulate some of the games by 2040.
Any weaker than that and...it's just Switch. We'd be lucky to get PS4 level
The cardboard shit had a purpose, as it was aimed towards kids (even though soyboys bought it anyways)
The title got a chuckle out of me, honestly I can see Nintendo putting it out and it becoming a best seller. The cardboard shit a decade ago was just as retarded.
