Unexpected Delay

Due to unforeseen game editor limitations, development will experience a delay. The editor the game relies on can only work with a few hundred images for certain categories. This cap was recently discovered, as the content now exceeds it.

The immediate work around to this requires a lot of manual text editing of scene files outside of the editor, and a lot of additional back and forth reloading while developing gameplay and cutscenes. Not only is this very error prone, it roughly doubles the labor that goes into creating game scenes going forward.

An external cutscene editor tool is being developed to try to alleviate this process somewhat, but it will not fix the problem entirely. Switching between the editor and this new tool will still add time to the current work flow.

Once the tool is finished and is in use for awhile, the scope and severity of this set-back will be better understood. More information on this situation will be provided in upcoming progress reports.

TLDR: The game is delayed. The tsunami of degeneracy has been ever so slightly abated by technical problems. Be relieved citoyens!

No, it seems totally legit. They have these every month on the 1st. In fact, they're making far more progress than I expected. I pegged this for coming out in October but they might be shooting for sooner.

I dunno, it's april first and they made the characters not only have an established relationship but desire to shoot up a school? Even for what I watched on youtube for this game that seems a bit on the nose for a spoiler.

No, that's exactly in line with this game. The siblings are incredibly touchy feely when they get comfortable (though its nothing official so far) and the character talking about a school shooting leads the way on all their worst impulses.

To be fair what I watched was clip compilations so I'm probably missing a lot of subtext here. but that just instantly registered as a joke to me because it just seems so outlandish

Work Continues

The editor limitations mentioned in the last report are mostly under control.

Changes in workflow still haven't been observed long enough to know how much of a delay there will be in the remaining work.


Tool Work

This month's technical work will be focused on developer tools. Adding enhancements to the new editing tool is the main priority, as some features can make up for lost time. Once its stable and provides all the requirements, work will shift back to finishing the new translation tool.

A tragedy of unimaginable proportions.

Kind of surprised the creator is still at it despite the backlash and dox. Which in it of itself is based. The game is still a mistake that'll spawn a fandom which will rival bronies and furries in terms of degeneracy.

Episode changes.

Kit9 Studio - Progress Report
Some major news to report on the state of the game.


Episode Changes
The original plan was to conclude the game in episode 3 with a variety of endings for each of the two branches. As the master script continues being adapted into game content, it has become clear that the structure of episode 3 won't be able contain the full story.

It has been decided to expand the game to include a fourth episode, as cutting or compressing content would be detrimental to what was originally planned and written last year.

Episode 3 is going to be rather lengthy, and will still be released as two major content updates separately.

The new episode format will look like this:

Release Plans
Not much has changed, apart from an additional episode. All major updates will be patched in at no additional cost to those who already own the game. Each of these major content releases will mark a small price increase in the final game.

When the game play content for the next major release is fully setup, a more detailed estimate of the work remaining will be outlined.


Minor Patch
Fixed some minor typos and bugs. There was also an issue with builds having minor differences in file metadata, causing large patch sizes. This has been fixed, so this should be the last time a minor patch will have such a large download size.

If this teasing and jerking around continues then it's gonna end like Invincible: customers lost interest after a bullshit year-long hiatus that was mandated by the producer for no technical reason. Most of people still clinging to this are insane fujos and coomers on reddit.

Art is South Park level of complexity where everyone looks the same, drawing and scripting it shouldn't take this long. Seems like author is out of ideas and waiting for community to figure out the plot for free. I know I wouldn't be in hurry with all the millions to blow on crack.

Wow, the game is alive!

Surprised that the dev just put one burial route, since you can do a normal burial route and an incest one (the one sub-route that triggered the shartoids)

Can't wait to kill that bitch in Decay. Andrew does not deserve to be an slave to his sociopathic sister, he deserves to get rid of that sick hoe and live the rest of his life as an outlaw in peace with Julia in Mexico/Israel
