Why in God's name do they want that much PSI to save 13", to add a long suppressor? If it weighed a lot less overall and had lighter ammo I'd be ok, but does losing 4 inches or so that cuts of quite a bit really help in a general combat situation? I can see it for paratroopers or something, maybe.

Even if this takes over the military, which I doubt, it'll be a long time before affordable .277 Fury is even around, much less the Sig semi versions, and much less those sub 16" (never) and those with built in suppressors (maybe).

Whole thing sounds like a method of moving the military away from civilian semi-parity to me.

I've been watching the wisconsin primary results and so far those votes are still in the lead by a lot. The dems still could rig it the other way last minute, but I do hope not. On another note, so far in only one county in the state has "uninstructed" won a primary and surprisingly it's the GOP one (49% for uninstructed vs 41% for Trump). I know there was a big push to have that option added to the ballet by leftists as a protest vote against biden over the war israel-palestine conflict but so far it seems that barely any dems have voted for that option even in the deep blue counties.

Most infantry combat takes place at 300 yards or less. No need for a long ass rifle unless you are a designated marksmen, in which case you are going to be using a different rifle.

Even if they manage to pass it, the Dems up in Maine will probably convert to winner-take-all as well, meaning no net change in electoral votes (Trump will win 1 of Maine's 4 EV's under the current rules).

Doug Diny(R) won the Mayoral election in Wausau County, Wisconsin. This county was a Biden +8 in 2020, Diny won by 4.3, a 12.3 point swing. This kind of goes along with the Minnesota election last week where the Republican overperformed in the polls by 8 points.

It's not really competing with the M4 though, the round it fires is closer to the 7.62x51 than 5.56x45, so you're looking at something like an AR-10 which clocks in at over 40" with no suppressor

In the case of a 269-269 tie, the election would be decided by whoever wins the majority of the 50 House Delegations.

Each of the 50 states has a House Delegation (with each delegation comprised of the combined number of Representatives in the House from each respective state). The House Delegation from Wyoming, in this case with only 1 Representative, would be equivalent to the House Delegation from California which has 52 Representatives. Even if the GOP doesn't win the majority of representatives in the House, they would still likely have the majority (26 or higher) of House Delegations.
