Any sympathy I might've had for his obviously shaky mental state disappeared when he started emailing Null with demands. It's emotional manipulation, plain and simple, and I don't doubt there will be copycats who try the same thing.
The narrative of an inactive thread where people were fairly civil with him causing his death is absurd. Only someone who is either looking for a scapegoat or has a pre-existing grudge against the Kiwi Farms would run with it, and those people are not acting in good faith.

Seeing how the State Department contacted his husband, I can theorize one of three entities.
1) The State Department; they're quasi in charge of Americans abroad, and even if you find yourself losing your passport on vacation, they'll get you a flight home, unless you're in Iraq; or
2) The husband, self-financed; or
3) One of the above, but via Byuu's estate. The dude was sitting on six figures apparently, and his estate will be parted out to whoever (husband probably since that's who they contacted). So the money, videogames, and everything else became the husbands, and could use some of that money to cremate him and send him to Hector in Hong Kong. Or the State Deparment did it, and was first in line for Byuu's estate.

Biggest takeaway from me is that when he was trying to pay null to remove the thread, he was using his life savings, basically, I imagine he was going to off himself no matter what but wanted the thread to be gone to not "tarnish his legacy" or something of the sort. Why do I believe this? According to the report there was no lights on what seems to be due to undue payment, that shit doesn't usually happen from a single day (though Japan may work different or he could have actively cancelled), so he had it in mind that he wouldn't need that electricity from a while ago.
Basically, I think he would have offed himself even if lord feeder had taken the money because it sounded like his life was absolute shit and seeing how nobody was able to provide a credible death till like 3 years after the deed, shows volumes of how little anybody cared about him (or at least that had an online space).
Sadly, that means shit since his last recorded interaction was him whining about the farms, so that albatross is firmly in our necks. So it sucks, but technically, yeah, Kiwi count goes to 1 in one of the most tepid and tame threads in the site, live to believe.
