Arkham Knight

The Arkham Knight boss fight was stupid as all hell. It should've been an improvement of the Deathstroke boss fight from Arkham Origins, just as how that fight was an improvement of the Ra's Al Ghul boss fight from Arkham City.

Also, given how things deteriorated for Gotham in the Arkham Knight game, maybe letting Professor Strange and Ra's Al Ghul win in Arkham City wouldn't have been so bad after all. Granted, Gotham would lose a huge chunk of its population, but outside of some political dissenters, most of the people that Strange's Tyger forces were killing were criminal psychopaths. Killers, rapists, and thieves of every stripe. The rest of Gotham could rebuild after that, and with Scarecrow dead due to the mass-killing of criminals, you wouldn't have to deal with the city getting gassed with fear toxin, which would save more lives down the line.

Sure, Jason Todd might've still shown up as the Arkham Knight, but he and his militia would get their asses kicked by Ra's and Strange's forces. They were prepared to fight a Batman who doesn't kill, not fight against another army that has guns and assault helicopters up-front, backed up by ninjas who have experience killing people and no hesitation in doing it. The militia would get overwhelmed, and I'm sure Ra's will be far harsher towards Jason than Batman would ever be. It would probably end with Ra's taking the Arkham Knight's head.

I agree for the most part, but I just don't believe Ra's Al Ghul would stop at killing Gotham's criminals and just let everyone live happy and unaffected under his regime. Considering that he is losing his mind from continual use of the Lazarus Pit, and his ultimate desire to reshape society entirely into his image of utopia (which would probably result in the deaths and displacement of many people), he isn't the best candidate to give control of Gotham to.

That's why Strange was gunning to be Ra's al Ghul's successor, and why Ra's was courting Batman to be his heir. Either one would've been competent enough to run the city.

Strange is just a tool. But a Batman who joined the League of Assassins and became Ra's heir, that would be the best outcome for sure
