Naruto/Boruto Griefing Thread

Any one else thinks that what ultimately became of Naruto is a result of Kishi just duct taping whatever he could come up with at the time? To me, it's the only thing that could explain that mess.
  • Were there supposed to be other tailed beasts in the beginning? It makes no sense to have the host of the strongest one be treated like an outcast while the Cloud treats theirs like a prized asset (as they should). Why wasn't Naruto given the necessary upbringing to master the Kyubi.
  • Whatever the fuck happened to the Byakugan, supposedly the stronger eye, didn't level up at all, while the Sharingan keeps getting buff after buff.
  • Itachi being the ultimate interdimensional time travelling go-chess-shogi-backgammon-poker-hanafuda player whose complex plot still worked out in the end even if his predictions didn't come true.
  • Hiruzen supposedly the strongest Hokage before the 4th being reduced to whatever the fuck he was worth by the time the War arc came about.
I could go on, but those are the things that stick out to me.
Due to Naruto as a manga being released weekly Kishimoto may of not had that much time to formulate all the finer details of how the story went and had to change course or alter plans as he went along. For example, apparently one of the main things Kishimoto had in mind was to make sure Naruto and Sasuke had a final battle at the end, editors wanted Orochimaru to disrupt the Chunin Exam and editors also wanted a five year story at minimum.

I don't know why BLACKHAWK_Entropy made his post.

Anyway, found this manifesto of "why we hate Naruto's childhood" on REEEEEra:
Man God said:
Problems with Naruto's upbringing:

1. Jiraiya is his godfather. Does not stay and raise the boy. It's not like he doesn't know about what happened to the village.
2. Kakashi is the favorite disciple of his dad and would do anything for the fourth hokage. Does not stay and raise the boy. Definitely knows what happens to village as he was there.
3. 3rd Hokage. Loved the fourth like a son. Does not raise the boy but apparently pays rent and has someone deliver food to him. Could have asked his extended family to raise the boy at the very least.
4. Iruka. A literal child orphaned by the beast living inside of Naruto, and the only one of these fuckers with anything resembling a personal grudge is the only one to step up and do anything positive in Naruto's life.
5. The rest of the village. Oh they claim to love the 4th hokage but treat his son like garbage and tell their kids to do the same.
6. Shikamaru. He is Naruto's best friend but is really best friends with Choji.
7. Kiba and Chouji also hang out with Naruto. Kiba is Yamcha and Chouji has had enough of Naruto's tomfoolery.

Look at what Gaara went through.

1. Also the son of a kage, but no one liked the old Kazekage unlike the beloved 4th.
2. Had siblings that knew him and at least talked to him.
3. Had a surrogate parent (that eventually tried to kill him)
4. The village fears but does not necessarily hate him?

Naruto arguably had a worse upbringing and definitely would have if Gaara's not mom didn't try to off him.

Now the Cloud Ninjas, which are depicted as sociopaths and dirtbags in part one...

1. Love and respect their tailed beast host
2. He turned into the best, most loving and caring person in the entire series.
At least he's not one of those dumbasses who think the Leaf Village was faking their hatred of Naruto for 15 years.

Never forget, Ramen guy was the first person to treat Naruto like a human being. Honestly I wish we got a spinoff from his POV as opposed to Boruto. And fuck it, I'll say it. Naruto should've married his daughter instead of Hinata.

If you wanted to rewrite the series you’d probably want to have a Tailed Beast be shown to be a weapon to the village. Gaara basically almost does this, but it’d be neat to see one fully manifest and rampage. It kills its Akatsuki pursuers and fucks the local geography and environment up. Each of them seems to have an environmental theme as well as animal theme.

It would actually raise the stakes by having a foreign Kage come down, spank the Beast after the Akatsuki and whatever ninja team try to exhaust it, and drags the half dead host to get the monster a new host. The entire thing with the Akatsuki was better when the members tried to kidnap the hosts before they could fight back.

If I remember right the fucking turtle gets taken out in a panel by the bomb guy.

It's also a little jarring that we're supposed to buy that the guy who gets taken out by Sakura is also capable of taking out these tailed beasts. It makes either the Akatsuki inconsistently strong or the Tailed Beasts pathetic. I guess the War Arc gets it right when Tobi uses them and they're nothing but a joke and get trounced by Kurama.

They represented the Akatsuki as monsters in their own right originally, but saying Sasori was suicidal and wanted to be killed is weak logic. It’d make sense more if they had a few monsters, but the rest were like Kakashi or Zabuza where they shine under certain circumstances while being highly adaptable.

A Tailed Beast was portrayed as putting the whole Leaf Village on the ropes when they had two Hokages and like every fucking clan. Even if the less tailed aren’t as powerful they should still be threats. You could’ve had the Akatsuki recruit retarded criminals as fodder and have the bounty hunter member use them to try to weaken a beast.

Dude what in the name of all that's holy.....

Hey, so you remember this bullshit moment in Naruto Shippuden?

Guess what MHA's doing. For like the twelfth time recently.
Man, imagine how different a world this would be if Obito was never a character. It'd probably be a much happier one.

And fuck it, I'll say it. Naruto should've married his daughter instead of Hinata.
I prefer when my MCs marry actual characters instead of town NPCs.

Counterpoint: Hinata is not a character. She's a cardboard cut-out that occasionally shows up in Shippuden.
i suspect nothing less from a bleach fan
That's a symptom of Kishimoto's total incompetence with handling his characters post-timeskip.
He tried to include them but did nothing with them. I mean, Team Guy shows up in The Kazekage Rescue for no real reason than just to be there. Same thing with Team 8 during the hunt for Itachi. Dear god was that such a damn waste. Nothing happened in that arc on Naruto's side. Just more crying over Sasuke. Good lord.

It's actually Ikemoto's handling of characters period. My ire for Hinata really comes in Boruto. At least in Shippuden Hinata isn't in scenes. In the Boruto manga, Hinata is in plenty of scenes and just doesn't say or do anything. She's a literal background. It's infuriating.

Why are you making decisions that will only detriment your time and mental health? Nobody in their right mind should be reading b0rf, even the word-of-mouth that comes down the grapevine is harmful to a person's sanity. Like, apparently the antagonist in every arc is some kind of moon ninja, one of them merges with Bort to make him some pseudo-Jinchuriki with a brand-new bullshit eyehax because the creators refuse to give him the Byakugan, Kurama talks about nuclear fusion and then dies, and then another moon ninja rewrites reality so Naruto dies and Sasuke hooks himself up to the Shinju just like Madara, and Sarada is useless, dresses like rapebait and gets her Mangekyo by crying really hard.

You forgot how Naruto picks up an orphan adopted son named Kawaki and he's a little shit and treats everyone like dirt in his new home. And then he's in lesbians with Naruto.

"For no real reason than just to be there"
I think that applies to 90% of Naruto's friends after a certain point. I wonder why they even bothered hyping up characters like Lee and Neji and the chunin exams, since they might as well be background characters in Shippuden. Even Sakura technically wasn't needed in their grand fight against Kaguya. I think that scene where she punches her was just done to throw her a bone.
