For the next system I only need a few upgrades to the hardware. Mostly to get stuff running well, like you mentioned. If the current graphical standard for Switch ran at a flawless 60fps, that's good.

What I don't want is a system with a AMD i12 Blast Processing CPU RAM chip that costs 600 bucks. No thanks.

I don't think Nintendo would go over $399, personally. It's possible they'd do $449, I guess, but I highly doubt it... They want to stay below the PS5's price, and probably not just by $50.

At $400 they should be able to launch a 2025 device that matches Steam Deck pretty easily. In fact, to future proof it they may want it a little stronger, unless they actually do a Switch 2 Pro.

Nintendo recently released some new information on Endless Ocean, though much it was already said or implied. The real question will be whether or not story mode returns. Endless Ocean Blue World was loved for its narrative as, while not deep, it added some depth and personality to the game.

While this was already posted in the Sweet Baby thread, it was commented by one of the people who replied to the initial post pointing out that it's nothing new as far as what NoA has been doing, A little funny that any part of Nintendo is trying to go deeper into DEI when both the money has practically dried up, and both the hardcore gaming base has has enough of ESG/DEI pandering, and the awareness is no doubt spreading to the normies Nintendo tends to sell to anyways. Guess it's just the Big N being mind-bogglingly late as always.

They will probably launch ONE game that isn't woke. Next gen is looking grim. Hopefully this doesn't end up as bad in practice as it has with the other companies, but...

It's certainly not new in terms of woke localizations, but I'm not sure they've had job descriptions as direct as this baked into the position. I could be wrong.

I'd laugh if the super woke game turns out to be Pokemon and Nintendo egged them on in a scheme to wrestle control back from GameFreak

Missed the two games on the Switch despite being interested in them, won't make the same mistake a third time.
 
I mean, how do you even make a game like Mario woke? They're already headed in a direction where you don't rescue the princess anymore, it's always fairies or flower people now. I don't think NOA can do something like make Mario a black woman during translation, and Japan doesn't give a shit about wokeness, so Nintendo of Japan ain't doing it.

Might not extend to Mario as much, aside from the RPGs and such. I wouldn't be super surprised to see them introduce some niggers though, like a new princess.

I think more story-centric games like Zelda, Fire Emblem, and Xenoblade will take hits. Kirby will probably be safest of all since it has virtually no humans and a flimsier story than Mario.

They already have Daisy for that. They can just resort to her N64 skin complexion, which they already reverted back to in the latest Mario Party.

Have you played a Kirby game in recent years. Kirby has way more story than Mario, it is just hidden on pause screens.
