I posted this snipped from the /v/ Harmony sticky over a month ago in the Kirtaner thread, but I'll post it again now since I believe it 100% since it's Kirtaners existence in a nutshell.

Netflix doesn't care, they have an agenda to push. I expect that entire documentary to be on the level of that local LA Fox 10pm news report from 2007 mixed in with a regurgitation of what the wikipedia page or SPLC has to say about it. And I also expect that the only people who'll watch this Netslop is the people who want to rip it apart. 79k views on the trailer in 13 days? Nobody's watching this shit.

From what I can tell basically all of 4chan is like this now. Every niche community on the board has 1 or 2 people who are literally verifiably insane that shit up the threads all day and jannies don't care because jannies only moderate their pet threads and leave the other 99% of the board to die. It's very sad.

A thread I frequent on /vg/ has had like 4-5 different people like this that come and go, and are also frequent visitors to other threads as well I find. They will nest in 2-3 different generals and shit them up with insane spam or blog posting and will freak out and start spamming the thread with gore or 3D porn of child characters if they aren't getting the attention they want. And jannies will wait hours to do anything about it, but the schizos will be back at it the next day.

I remember when jannies would hand out range bans like candy anytime anyone went against their word, now they just let the same faggots shit up the website day in day out. Sad.

Like saying Beetlejuice 3 times in a row, chances are you'll get the resident schizo of said topic on the board to appear. Like "Guy" on /co/ who obsesses over John K's work and harasses people in the industry or the FFVIII schizo that can be found on /vr/ and /vrpg/.

/vg/ has always been relatively awful ever since its inception in 2012. Even the holdouts that had some genuine quality at first (like the TES threads) eventually got swamped within a few years by the more disturbing fucks of the internet.

I still use /tg/. I actually started the Lodoss War thread, since I didn’t see anyone talk about the replays. But I use it much less, considering how much the board has gone to shit. It’s mostly bait threads about niggers and faggots, coom threads, and generals now. The AI slop thread also needs to go- I remember I went on /tg/ one time and saw several AI art threads, only one of which could still post images.

I found it weird that no one was talking about the second replay. The trilogy is a pretty major part of tabletop rpg history. They’re the ancestor to modern actual plays like Critical Role. And let’s be real, they probably should’ve stayed in written form, but normies gotta norm.

They seem to think being a slightly different flavor of furry and having a superiority complex is enough to make them totally different, despite getting to the point that they're doing all the same things that made/make furfags annoying. I've been seeing their posts a lot more on various boards, and they've been getting into arguments more often too.

I just got done watching the netflix doc and it's very mediocre. It surpised me by starting off well, it has some interesting commentary on the beginning of 4chan and the literal whos don't make any extravagant claims, except for repeatedly saying "WE did this..." and "WE did that...". Kirtaner keeps the yapping in control. It then covers all of the gay raids and real life protests, which is a very cringe reminder. I find it pretty interesting that the fox news hacker on steroids clip is never shown (unless I missed it)....
...and when it hits the GamerGoober era it's downhill FAST from there. A very high level, light touch coverage of Trump's election, QAnon and then a lot of talk about the capitol riots which I don't remember having much to do with 4chan? It finishes in the worst possible way with Kirtaner finally getting his 5 minutes of fame and claiming to be the ultimate hacker man and final boss of the internet bla bla bla

It's not as bad as I was expecting, I guess it's worth watching if you have nothing else to do, but it's still very mid. 6/10 is the best I can do
