Not good, but when the original looks like shit to begin with, it's a wonder he even managed to make this look sorta-passable. Hell, the fact there's no dumb line under the eye makes it look better than most of his Inktober stuff thus far. Color me surprised.
As for the shrimp comic. As others said, remove the thought bubble in the final panel and it'd actually be funny. Especially given how culturally different America and Japan serve their shrimp.
I'm impressed, I managed to actually praise Dobson for a change. Now to wait for him to act like a sperg over twitter.

I really like the cute style of your version. I also realized that I think Dobbers was trying to replicate Amethyst's lips or something. I see a lot of Steven Universe fans draw characters with those lips these days, and none of them, Dobbers included, realize how gross it looks.

That stupid way of drawing lips looks hideous even on the actual SU designs. Why would anyone draw them on something else?
