My memory is fucked right now, so this might be totally wrong, but in those series of posts on the private doctor forum that really, really seemed like they were about Kelly, wasn't the idea of amputation at the hip brought up and totally dismissed? I think her stumps were the end of the line and of course she blew right past it.

Just re read it myself. They discuss a bilateral BKA. So they were actually hoping for longer stumps to fit her for prosthetics, but she fucked with the wounds to the point where they had no choice but to amputate above the knee.

I found a fb that i am 90% sure it is hers. It all adds up but it’s locked up tight, I am a face blind retard and she loves filters. Found a Chinese spyware app (TikTok) too. Active until about December of last year .She at one point did lots of modeling in 2018.. with the nose hose.

I don't update with this unless the thread is bumped anyway, so here's the update on her sister's Instagram:

Still not a word about Kelly, ever. She continues to post like any other normal person: her cat, her travels, walks and bike rides, so forth and so on. She seems to work with the local humane society/animal rescue type place, which is cool. Her cat also has an Instagram account.

If you stumbled on her Instagram, you'd think she seemed like a pretty chill person who goes on super-interesting solo trips around the world. You'd never know she has a twin sister, let alone one like Kelly.

Good for her for living her life. I don't want to speculate too much bc she's (miraculously) not a cow, but I still can't help but wonder what it does to a person to have not just a family member but a twin like Kelly. It isn't just schizophrenia or crack addiction or something, because those are things with TV shows and books and movies and support groups. This is something else entirely. I'd probably fuck off and travel somewhere, anywhere else, too.

I know laws have changed in the last 50-70 years regarding involuntary confinement, but what the hell, man. If ever a person met the requirements for being restrained when they aren't supervised, Kelly ought to meet them. If things have degraded to the point of "hey, she isn't hurting anyone else" then we really are fucked and asylums really have been replaced with prisons. I guess in North America you're welcome to tear a living person apart as long as that person is you.

I know it's tricky, because making it legal for someone like Kelly to be detained against their will isn't always the best. But she needs something out of her control to stop her.

I don’t know anything about the Canadian system, but SURELY she would meet the criteria for an involuntary psych hold?

If she was in the U.K. I have no doubt she would be costing the state an eye-watering amount of money to keep her locked up and under constant 1:1 supervision.

I guess the main complicating factor is that mental health hospitals aren’t set up to accommodate patients who need a high level of support for medical/mobility reasons (in the U.K., mental health nursing and general nursing are two very different training pathways and they aren’t interchangeable) so I wonder if Kelly exists in a no man’s land? There will be nursing homes for very disabled people, and psychiatric hospitals for the intractably mentally ill, but nowhere that really caters for both.

It is moreso they are very scare now since it hurt other peoples feelings to realize there are people who are too disabled/mentally ill to not be locked up indefinitely. Some states still have them. Not sure about Canada though which if i remember right is where she is.

You’d need to physically restrain her - either bandage her hands to the point she couldn’t access them or some kind of almost straitjacket arrangement. That would leave her totally dependent on carers and that’s very expensive and the sort of thing that raises ethical questions too, if she’s not doing it in that moment then can you keep her in such a state? What if she uses her teeth?
Where she goes from here I don’t know. I suspect she’s got a care plan that’s basically ‘keep her comfy and wait.’
Her options now are the stumps, one arm or to go for her trunk in some way.

If they do decide to waste more money on her and perform an amputation to the hip, do you guys think they will remove only the injured stump and leave the (seemingly unpicked so far) left stump, or will they just remove both to even her out/prevent her from possibly picking on it too in a sort of "two birds one stone" situation?

Honestly in my opinion they should just put her in a room, look her in the eyes and say "if you continue we might need to consider Medical intervention and possible euthanasia." and perhaps that might sober her up if only partially. Munchies want attention and you cant get ass pats if youre dead.

Wonder if dear Kelly is being discussed again over on that top secret doctor forum right now. I doubt she's with the same wound care specialist but you never know, and I'm sure he's not the only physician within Kelly's vicinity that has a forum account.

This gets said a lot but Kelly genuinely needs to be studied. She needs to be in medical textbooks. Her brain needs to float in formaldehyde in a jar somewhere, like John Wayne Gacy's.

The doctor app was mostly anonymous photos of patients with doctors discussing tough cases. Very professional. I used to have it, it was called Figure 1 or something like that. I haven’t looked at it in a long time, don’t even know if it still exists.

I think if they were going to amputate again they’d only remove the diseased part. But I’d imagine her doctors have consulted with ethics boards to determine the best course of action. This is a tough one but my guess is they’ve decided to treat her wound and offer comfort care but aren’t going to keep amputating.

I think Kelly’s mental illness is much deeper than just being a Munchie. Picking off both your legs, pulling out teeth (and hair) and opening up stumps is horrifying and I doubt it’s attention-based. Something else is driving her. This woman is incredibly mentally ill-who knows what goes on in her head that causes her to destroy herself, but in this case, it feels more complicated than a factitious disorder.

Did you hear her pointing out her stump? She pointed between her legs and said “I pee from here” and it was very very weird. There is no helping her.

I wonder if we’ll ever know when she accomplishes her goal?

IIRC she had terrible infections in her legs for a long time before they eventually went ahead with amputation. I wondered at the time whether letting her succumb to sepsis was a legitimate plan by her doctors.

I think @Barbarella might be right and comfort care will be all she gets going forward.

Yep, the app still exists but for full access you need to register as a healthcare provider nowadays. I think you can still browse some bits from the Web, but search seems limited and it may even be de-indexed. Couldn't find the OP from a cursory search

It's very clear to me that the goal for Kelly is to die without dignity lol.

Also I seen discussion of Hope Otto orbiter Pandora, 100% munchie BTW. I'd go as far as to call her a clout chasing munchie. At this point, since amputation clearly didn't work the last time and there is so little leg left, I wonder if they might try and go with something like maggot debridement instead?

That way rather than wasting hours of a surgeon(s?) Time they just slap some of those wriggling fuckers on the squidgy bit, wrap the stump and let 'em go to town on it.

Figure 1 still exists. I have full access so I’ve been keeping an eye out for anything that could potentially be Kelly-adjacent but haven’t seen anything likely. If I come across something, I’ll figure out a way to share it.
