The issue here is that you think paraphilia = crime.

Females with paraphilias might not be as inclined to commit crime because they don't cross those boundaries. Paraphilias in men are mostly known because we see them as problematic - but what about when we talk about diffuse things like feelings? Females are probably more likely to be paraphilic about those things rather than males.
I don't see paraphilia as crime.

Brudos and the shoes: there's nothing wrong with shoes, but this guy took it to 11.

I don't think there are too many females who feel about paraphilic items the way Brudos feels about shoes.

Another example is in true crime communities (another one that deserves a community watch thread) which are largely populated by women

Minor derailing, but I'm really curious as to why the true crime community is so heavily populated by women.

I feel like there's an overlap between that and "dark romance" readers, all coupled with various levels of depression.

What's your point bud? I think female paraphilias aren't recorded as crimes because we don't consider them as such. You think... what exactly? I don't get it.

Holy shit I can't believe he thought this was a good photo of himself to post to the public. Wow. I think that's the most obviously male looking I've seen him/a lot of troons.

I have always found that AGP women survey unreliable due to all the reasons already discussed here, but also due to the wording of the questions. I could see lots of women misunderstanding the question and thinking that the questions are asking them if they feel sexy while getting prepared for sex with a man, not that the action is getting them off.

I have seen lots of troons try to dismiss AGP by claiming women get off to themselves when they look in the mirror or when wearing cute clothes, and it just isn't true. Women will look in the mirror and feel cute, then get excited that they look good, but they're not getting horny over it, especially not over themselves. If they are getting sexually aroused then it's at the thought that their date will find them sexy.

Another thing: If this was a real phenomenom that women did, then wouldn't we expect men to do the same thing too? Yet I've never heard of men getting rock hard when they put on a new outfit and look into a mirror... unless there's something you male kiwis are hiding?

I used to be into True Crime shit years ago. Not to the extent of like, owning a tumblr about it or writing reddit comment essays about it, but I'd watch lots of True Crime documentaries and stuff. At least for me, it made me feel like I had a sense of control. For women, the fear of being kidnapped, raped, and killed is always in the back of our minds, and watching those documentaries felt like learning "secrets" on how to avoid having those awful crimes happening to you. It makes you feel like you can catch the signs of a predator or potential bad situation before it's too late, unlike those unlucky victims.

I stopped watching that stuff though because it was just making me more scared and distrustful of men as a whole. I assume a lot of women who are really into True Crime are like that, and I also think it explains why so many of them are very vocal about hating all men and etc. Too much of that shit makes you paranoid.
