Russian Special Military Operation in the Ukraine - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

I doubt they care whether they can do it or not, its just a threat to the target audience of potential conscripts who I doubt know much of international law. And it gives a lot of refugee host countries a convenient way to deal with a potentially politically annoying refugee problem, and claim they're helping Ukraine enforce its laws and win the war. Any refugee that breaks the smallest of law can get processed and deported "in partnership with our allies and international law". Just because you don't have an extradition agreement doesn't mean you can't give them up anyways.

I doubt it'll help much, but I will say that jumping right to the full draft is probably Ukraines best move overall. If they want to try and survive this, they really can't afford to try and play the slow game on this, especially now that Russia's stopped pulling as many punches.
The thing is the opposite is the case. Countries are explicitly prohibited from deporting a person if they are stateless or doing so would make them stateless. The person is not bound to follow any order forcing a deportation, no government organization can legally execute one and any government attempting to do so is opening the door for that person to sue citing a violation of their civil rights and of international law

They can be as politically annoying as they want, the moment they get made stateless the government can't deport them no matter what they do. If anything ukraine is fucking themselves and asking for an international incident doing stuff like this

Yeah… They seem to be forgetting that one of the reasons why their “partners” keep sending them money, is because they don’t want millions of kholkhols in Europe.

Apparently someone forgot to tell ukraine that making a person stateless is an explicit violation of international law, nor that access to consular services is also mandated by international law, to say nothing of diplomatic agreements between countries
As far as I can tell, Ukraine never ratified the 1961 Convention on the Reduction of Statelessness, so it wouldn't actually be a violation of any "International Law."

Ah, I think I expressed my points poorly, muddied a few things. The Statelessness one doesn't have to actually happen, just the threat that they can is what the motivating force is. The deportation isn't because they're stateless, the deportation is because they're now in violation of Ukrainian law by draft dodging, since the law no longer requires papers to be proven to have been served and applies to citizens not living in the country, and therefore they can ship them over as an extradition if they wanted to.

Actually revoking citizenship would just be a shitshow regardless of international law, regardless of what they have or haven't ratified. Its just a threat, much like the million mystery artillery shells, or US jets any day now.

Can US production lines handle it though?
Because if cotton provides a 0.2% performance improvement you can be sure that’s what they’ve been using (and billing you for), and switching back to wood pulp may not be remotely as easy an process as simply expanding the already existing production back in the world wars was.
Funny enough I learned about this existing when I was going through a phase of diet change after I couldn't figure out why my guts were exploding. Pulp derived cellulose is in like every single processed American cheese and other shit as filler, so I assume we already have a pretty big American production of it. it's in a whole lot of foods and is a pretty big talking point amongst the clean food people

Wow, Ukraine just passed a very strict mobilization law for males aged 18-60. Even Ukrainians living abroad are eligible to be drafted and all must register within 60 days (i.e. many in the other thread). If they don't they become stateless persons in their host countries, likely ineligible for any more benefits.

This is terrible news
If everyone on the other thread is conscripted, who will we make fun of?

If Ukraine is winning and there are 13664399135764366 dead Russians, why are they going total retard war?

What about those who were refugee'd already?

This you uncultured amerimutt bastard:

Catsup mixed with mayonnaise.
No it is not! (Well, maybe at some dingy Turk kebab place?)

It’s mayonnaise based though, I’ll give you that.

The real classy thing is to eat french fries with mayo though.
