Nintendo Switch (Currently Plagued) - Here we shit post about the new Nintendo console, The Switch

There's people still playing those games for exactly the same reason you were. I really doubt anyone is committed to the fucking Scarescraper in the most milquetoast boring sequel ever made.

People are the biggest dramatic faggots about servers going down, I swear to God.
LM2's multiplayer was pretty fun, honestly. Never really bothered with it in 3 though.

Since Luigis Mansion 2 is coming to Switch in HD. I could care less about online being shut down in that game.

I agree but playing in Expert without a team that knows how to play is quite unfun. It sucks too because I only needed 10 more Scarescraper boss ghosts to 100% the ghost vault.

Okay, you're right, it should have been called Animal Crossbreeding.
I'll level with you here. That post was supposed to read "Animal Crossing is a JRPG" and I was going to start a gay slapfight when someone said it wasn't in an effort to make fun of the torrent of autism over calling Smash Bros a fighting game, but didn't notice my typo until people had already replied to it.

Hey I’m sorry if this is a dumb question, but why the fuck are there still zero Pokemon games included in the Online + Expansion Pack? I’m not talking about Snap or Stadium or tcg, I mean classic titles from the gameboy entries? I assumed they were going to wait another year for subscriptions to expire the same way they did when they added the gameboy libraries to retain subscribers but it’s April now and they’ve added fuck all.

Sure they don’t technically own the franchise, but the other spinoff games are there and as far as I can tell there’s no plan to release a red/blue/yellow or gold/silver collection for sale so is there some obvious reason I’m overlooking? I’ve been assuming it’s just Nintendo being Nintendo and refusing to make profitable decisions for stupid jap reasons but at this point I have to assume there’s some actual reason they don’t want to make the money.

Do they not sell the retro titles just so manchildren have to buy whatever version is the newest iteration of the franchise if they want to play? Please, somebody enlighten me.

When will you mongoloids learn that Pokemon isn't Nintendo?

Anyway, Pokemon sells their retro titles for two or three times the price of other, better games on the same system because the idiots still playing Pokemon in 2024 would literally buy buckets of radioactive diarrhea at a premium if it had the brandname on it. If the old Pokemon games ever become available on a modern system, it won't be for free or part of any other package, it'll be its own thing and way, way overpriced. (See: 3DS virtual console)

Just get an emu on your phone and play 'em that way, man. Those Gen 2 games will run on anything, plus you can play QoL hacks and stuff.

I’ve got them on my phone but I want them on my switch for convenience and I’d even be willing to pay the fifty or sixty bucks for a collection on a cartridge but these dumb nips can’t seem to get their fuckin act together. >:(

That's what jailbreaking your Switch is for.

Sure I could, but that’s the issue! I’ve got money! The almighty dollar! And I’m willing to give it to them but they won’t fucking take it!! The only way to play these stupid games is by paying some guy a hundred bucks for a likely counterfeit cartridge for a thirty year old handheld or pirating them for free and the IP owners don’t seem to care! They could spend zero effort on an official mobile release and print money with it but they haven’t even done that! Make it make sense!

You know how they waited to release Earthbound and Beginnings until dissatisfaction was at an all-time high because of the early N64 situation? They won’t release Pokemon until they absolutely have to, especially since it’s a subscription service and they only need to add just enough to the service to keep you subscribed. The gen 1/2 games cost $10 each on the 3DS Virtual Console and they topped the sales charts basically every week until the eShop was shut down.
When will you mongoloids learn that Pokemon isn't Nintendo?
The Pokemon IP is split between multiple companies, but Nintendo likely still owns a majority stake.

When will you mongoloids learn that Pokemon isn't Nintendo?
Pokemon is jointly owned by Nintendo, Game Freak and Creatures. Game Freak is so tight with Nintendo, they operate out of one of Nintendo's buildings. Trying to argue Pokemon isn't Nintendo is an extremely autistic splitting of hairs.

It's a similar situation with Kirby. Kirby is jointly owned by Nintendo and Hal. On paper, Hal is a privately owned independant developer. However, Hal is similarly operating out of one of Nintendo's buildings and is so tight with Nintendo, Kirby may as well be considered a Nintendo property.

The point is, neither of these companies is telling Nintendo no if they want to release classic versions of Pokemon or Kirby on Nintendo online.
