Some kind of communal living work, but it generally requires a completely homogenous group, like a kibbutz, where everyone shares the same religious, social, and economic views and even then, such a group needs to be able to rid itself of the useless. I'd imagine the size of such a group would be limited to something like Dunbar's number at most, something like 150 or so, because that's as many people as the average person can have reasonably close relations with.

The problem is you can't enforce such homogeneity if you don't start out with it, without the use of state terror. And if you have a state capable of and willing to inflict such terror, you've by definition created a monster. The delusion is in thinking such a state can ever just wither away after the need for the so-called "dictatorship of the proletariat" (always inevitably ending with a dictatorship of the biggest psycho in the country) passes.

Attempting to bomb a judicial position (which usually a state AG is, though it depends on the state constitution) is treated more harshly by judges because it's targeting one of "their own." If you target a judicial officer, every other judicial officer sees that and thinks "fuck you." Plus it's presumably going to be tried in an Alabama federal court, subject to review in the 11th Circuit—two of the more conservative judiciaries in the country. This guy is fucked. If he killed someone and ended up going to trial, he'd probably get the death penalty.

The main problem is such groups will almost immediately attract parasites and people who will glom onto the benefits of such an arrangement and then do nothing to keep it going.
