When it comes to music the retrowave and synthwave scene was pretty cool back in like 2012 but it started losing momentum by 2014 and now a lot of the bands/authors are liked have disbanded or retired from the genre.

Like that guy Lanier said being an indie musician is harder than ever, apps pay almost nothing and if you ever used spotify you must've noticed how all the top songs are also the songs that get the more ads on the platform. Normies wont listen/buy anything without ads, I even seen them saying that a musician being a sellout sponsored by a megacorp validates him since it must mean the music is good.

I'm shocked more people don't do this. My gaming is mostly emulated (A few modern games but not many were purchased normally.), my consoles are mostly all hacked, my watched content is either free on apps or obtained. Music comes from mostly youtube on PC with ublock origin (which weirdly works still) but bandcamp and soundcloud are also used by me. I can't imagine spending what little I have on entertainment when there's so much of it you can just OBTAIN.

CONSOOM and flex culture are completely intertwined, both sides of the same coin. A lot of the consoom happens because normies just want to flex on others, that's why most of this country is on the red, why the average american has a negative networth from all the credit card debt to buy stupid worthless shit so other americans who are also up to the neck in debt wont think they are poor, a process which ironically only makes everybody involved even poorer.

That was the original version. They only made the protag a dad because they thought that's what Americans wanted: a huge action hero. Honestly, the motivation makes more sense with him as a teenager.
