Interesting. I'm not aware, but was Freyr's design supposed to be made to promote an agenda as well? He looks like an "indigenous" black man.

I don't know if there's been anything explicit about Freyr. But, possibly. If they don't look like they're from Scandinavia, then something's wrong.

The absolute worst part is that for a third time, the plot of leaving the vault to find your fucking family is being used except instead of JUST dad this time, its dad and mom.

This is a common Hollywood trope. For media marketed towards general audiences, they've found this is the easiest way to make their characters relatable. At this point, I wouldn't doubt the plot is just being procedurally generated by an AI.
