When you are a mother, your kids ALWAYS come first, and you should always do what is best for them above all else. - He has convinced himself his problems are temporary and he'll go back to being successful once his schedule problems get sorted out.

You're right that I was assuming. I was basing this on a comparison to everyone else that seems to be in the house at least, and everyone else that is a regular there I wouldn't trust with anyone's kids, so the nanny was simply looking like the best in a really bad situation.
