I fully agree that pets can be wonderful and even life-saving companions for those who deal with depression, anxiety, PTSD, etc. In addition to the companionship, having responsibility for another living creature can provide some meaning and stability to life.My mom has an ESA dog. He isn't trained to do shit but the impact is clear, she was on her way to a self exit before she got the little shit toboggan.
Anyone who claims that they can't hold it together for a few hours in public without their pet doesn't need a pet, though, they need a tard wrangler (also, they're probably significantly faking/exaggerating their need for constant companionship).
