The Steel Toe alogs seems convinced this is ultimately headed for divorce. They may be right, but it hasn't happened yet.

I think that given what Aaron said about him needing therapy, and her being MIA for a long time, their marriage is probably in an extremely fragile state right now.

I hate to sound like a pearl clutching incel prude but if true, it really is fucked up that Balldoman has a handful of young kids in the house as both him and Our Wife are poppin pills + swinging…in addition to Rackets drinking + starving himself to death. Being the child of an alcoholic parent isn’t a lifelong trauma/handicap if the child (later adult) in question has the wherewithal and the chances to be better than the parent, but the other stuff kind of compounds on top of the “oh dads drunk…again” situation.

It’s gonna be real tough in the House of Balldo once those kids get old enough to start taking notice of and pushing back on Rackets regarding many of his unhealthy habits (not even the swinging; just the boozing and manorexia and the highly probable pill-poppin from both Balldo and Lady Balldo). The optimistic ending for some of the kids is they end up getting involved in enough stuff outside of the home that they can socialize and develop without being as exposed to the degeneracy.
