THE CORNER DEMON IS REAL!
NICK REKIETA HAS BEEN STREAMING WITH AN UNKNOWN GUEST SECRETLY SITTING WATCHING HIM IN THE CORNER!
This only catches my attention compared to his ceiling cats and corner demons because of that recent stream where he was clearly speaking to someone off camera who was sitting in that direction. Maybe I'm overthinking it, but he doesn't seem to be alone.
Nick Rekieta's ceiling cats aren't real, they can't hurt you.... But it's a different story about his "Corner Demon". It's not a myth, there actually appears to be a mystery guest sitting beside Nick during many of his recent streams in the past month, if not longer.
Last Friday was no exception, it was just more obvious because he was staring at the person for pretty much half the stream. It was first noticed that was something was a little strange sometime in March, when Nick's regular post-stream Locals streams ended, but because of the ceiling cats making their presence known during the Dear John stream a few weeks before that, it took a while for it to be recognized that Nick was actually looking towards a real person sitting in the corner.
Nick has been going to great efforts to hide the Corner Demon, but he slipped up enough times that many people have begun to start noticing it.
Nick's recent bathroom break meta probably interacts with the mystery guest in some way but the details of how is unknown. Rekieta has been taking lengthy bathroom breaks that are as long as 15 minutes or more, which he often presents as having to check on his wife, see the below post for a summary:
TL;DR: In December, streams are still fairly long. Breaks happen as late as 3.5 hours in and typically take only 3-4 minutes. January 2nd is the first time Nick uses the "checking the house" excuse to justify a still moderate six minute break. On January 4th he sets a personal record by following a 6 minute with a 17 minute break. His wife allegedly tasked him with putting a box of "music stuff" in the car. From here on out, breaks are rarely shorter than 6 minutes and typically 8 minutes or more. On February 9th he lets Branca twiddle his thumbs on stream for 8 minutes because Nick's wife "needed a Gatorade". After a 13 minute break on February 10th, he claims that his late night streams now interfere with his family obligations: He needs the break to check on his wife to make sure she "doesn't need anything".
In some cases, Rekieta appears to be looking to a spot in the corner of his room, and it is believed there is a chair placed there with someone sitting under strict orders to hide from the camera and be silent. In other cases, he is looking more to the right, likely towards the door. If he's looking to the door, the person in the corner and the person at the door are more likely to be different people. It has also been speculated that the chair may be moving in between the corner and the door across streams.
The identity of the corner demon is unknown. The most obvious guest would be Nick's wife Kayla, but that would seem to suggest Nick is lying about his bathroom breaks, as Nick often returns from his lengthy bathroom breaks to claim that he was talking to Kayla in bed.
April Imholte, who along with her husband Aaron has become a close friend of the Rekietas, is another option. She hasn't been spotted on the Steel Toe Morning Show stream recently and Aaron announced over the weekend that she would not be returning as a permanent co-host of the show. Even people who pay attention to SMTS say they have no idea where she is living at present:
Nobody actually knows what happened to April. There are lots of hints she is no longer in the house. For example, a few days ago, the Dabblerverse's (dont ask) biggest pay pig Chandler said he would give Aaron 500 bucks if April just showed her face on stream. She didn't. STMS fans are also sending "Get Well" sort of gift packages to April, that Aaron acknowledges getting, but says April hasn't opened them.
Another option would be Aaron himself. It's also possible that it's someone other than these three individuals who is staying under the radar at present.
Proving the corner demon is real:
I was a little skeptical initially because of the ceiling cat thing where he stares randomly at spots of the room, but the number of clips where he stared and appeared to be talking directly to someone convinced me that it was real. It was expected that eventually Nick and his mystery guest would fuck up eventually and confirm the suspicion that there was someone sitting with Nick as he did his show.
It was very obvious on last Friday's show. As pointed out by
@Harm, not only is Nick looking in the corner for much of last Friday's minute-long stream, he appears to be looking in the corner specifically at moments relevant to the "personal issue". Whatever the issue is, it must have had something to do with the mystery guest since the times he looks at them are while he's specifically discussing the problem:
"
I have a very important personal issue that I have to deal with [looks to corner]"
"This is something I have to deal with. [glances at corner]
I don't have the ability to do the show tonight, I have to take care of it right away. I'm very [stares at corner]
very fucking sorry."
On
the stream one week prior, on Friday April 5, Nick and his guest also fucked up, multiple times, fully exposing that there was someone sitting in his room. These were the most obvious examples yet of someone being there to that point.
Nick started the stream by fiddling with the left armrest on his chair right after starting (one minute in) and whoever sitting there must have reacted because his head swivels over to the right and he says "What?"
Shortly after that just before 4 minutes you hear whoever it is making noise. I'm not sure exactly what it is, it sounds to me like a phone going off and then a woman's voice. Maybe it's a TikTok/Instagram Reels video of some sort that the person sitting in the corner started playing without realizing their phone volume was on? Nick looks over and tries to cover it up by loudly talking over it but he's clearly flustered.
Later in the stream, while Nick has brought on his janny Valhalla Awaits (the one he danced on the stripper pole for in Nashville), Rekieta was telling the story about how he went to a male strip club when you hear a Ralph-style calamity of bottles being strewn everywhere and Nick screams "DAMN IT!"
This one is less 100% undeniable proof, but it's not completely clear that Nick was the one who knocked the bottles over. He reacts by looking right, further right than he was looking in the first two clips, which would be in front of where the guest would be sitting. He would have had to have been sitting at a very awkward angle to knock those bottles down while moving. At around 29 seconds, there is a new round of bottle noise, fainter this time, as Nick continues talking, which may be bottles being picked up by the corner demon.
Moving back further,
on March 22, Rekieta looks to his right and appears to be asking for input about Candace Owen's departure from Daily Wire. He appears to be asking the mystery guest to help him out because he had forgotten about whether Owens worked for The Blaze or Daily Wire. Nick glances in the same direction later as he rushes to end the show at shortly before 12:30am his time.
Here are two pictures of his streaming room from the old property listing. The first photo is the actual room itself (it must be taken from the door) and the second photo is of the entrance itself.

Here's a photo of his setup posted by Nick:
His desk appears to be set up in the middle of the room, with enough space behind him for a bookcase. He has two external monitors to his left (the below photo is not mirrored, as shown by the text on the screens). His streaming camera is not mirrored either, meaning to look at his screens he would either look straight ahead or to his left (to the right of the screen when on stream).
Here is a rough diagram of what the room is likely to look like based on the known pictures:
Nick appears to be looking his right while seeming to be addressing someone. In some cases, he is looking approximately 90 degrees right, potentially closer to the door, while other times it is less far to the right. It's possible that in some cases he is looking at someone sitting in the corner and in other cases someone standing at the door (in which case they might be different people), but it's also possible that on different streams the chair is moving around, from the spot marked in yellow to other locations closer to the door.

An example of someone confirmed to be looking to someone off screen in Nick's studio is April Imholte when they did the Steel Toe show from Nick's house and were paid to have Nick parade around shirtless on camera. She can be seen looking in a similar direction as Nick's voice is still audible.
