Hardly a secret. No one is actively combing through these communities and joining discord channels just to find content, they were already there. We're just thankful they're based enough to share with the rest of us.

Anyone I knew that played XIV were there when I started, and they were all 1.0 players as well.

If you want to play on Balmung you gotta be male, but not roe, hroth, elezen, viera or lalafell if you want to avoid the worst freaks on the server.

I think midlander males have the least negative of "boring"
I've played as other races and honestly I enjoyed being a lalafell skunk, but being a lalafell means every gross freak will try to get you into their pedophile diaper ERP discord so I had to revert back.

A friend of mine on Balmung plays a male Elezen, has since 1.0, apparently a lot of fujoshis approach him but he brings it on himself by going to Uldah and causing fights in shout chat.
I don't know what draws them to the giraffe men but I think it has to do with yaoi hands.

I play as a femroe so I always return to a couple of whispers of people asking me to destroy them, they're easy to ignore though

No one seems to listen to Null's diversity reports; like a lot of merchandise are small female cut shirts, there are politics of all shades and areas, there are a number of sexual degenerates to include former mod Yawning Sneasel who apparently banged trannies.
