I believe this indicates that these player's value is measured in their plight and not their skills as an athlete. You being a "strong and independent woman" is worth 30x more to marketing companies than the skillset you've dedicated your life to perfecting is worth to the body that governs your sport.
This is exactly how reality TV operates by the by. Even the 'competition' type shows are always aping for whoever has the best story. I remember one season of Master Chef had some black chick who kept fucking up over and over and over again but the producers LOVED her story of being a single mom from the hood so she kept getting more chances than anyone else would EVER get on the show until finally the producers realized they could not keep their finger on the scale for this woman any more than they already had without making it more obvious they were trying to make her win so they finally had to let her go. Then there was another season where some chick won just by having the best story where she tried to imply she was some kind of victim of trafficking and sexual abuse because.... she stripped her way through college.

I already see at the gym ESPN and all these other sportsball stations playing WNBA stuff even though no one cares, it'll be interesting seeing them try to create a female Shaq or Michael Jordan but without the ability to play to back up the myth.

Can anyone submit a photo?
I have a few fun ones to submit.

I think that it's more likely that the RINOs would have collaborated with the Democrats to elect either Jeffries, or some "compromise candidate" of some variety.
I don't see a problem with that.
You can't hide that from normies the way you can what's happening now.
Don't act like we would have lost something more with Jeffries on the gavel: Johnson has been the most effective Democrat speaker in years.

Funny you mention that. One of Shaq's daughters is playing at Florida. She's not a specimen like her dad was, but it wouldn't surprise me that she will be hyped up well beyond her actual abilities.

I even found an article claiming Shaq was a sexist for implying she couldn't be as good as her brother.

Maybe they couldn't make voting for Jeffries palatable (Though perhaps with the right degree of propaganda... normalfags are retarded), but they certainly could make voting for a 100% controlled RINO palatable. As shit as Johnson is he isnt quite as bad as it could get.

I just don't think "we" (I am not a yank) would have gained anything either, is the thing. I don't envision a scenario in which the Freedom Caucus could have done better than Johnson, and I definitely can't see a scenario in which the government is deadlocked till november.

I think it is just as likely that churning through speakers would indeed make the Republicans look "Weak" and "incapable of governing", which would be an optics victory for the Democrats with no real payoff, particularly with the media machine able to fabricate reality. I do not know what the winning move right now is.

The amazing thing with slim majorities like this is it only takes a tiny handful of holdouts to prevent that ever happening.
They have to have balls and be willing to throw fire at anyone trying to "blame" them for the actions of RINO colleagues in betraying the voters.

This argument doesn't resonate with me, and I didn't grow up GOP, either.
Funding every cent of the agenda of a regime that is going full Brazil makes them look weak and/or complicit.

At this point, even the "firebrands" have demonstrated they lack the spine to hold leadership accountable.
I'm tempted to leave the house portion of my ballot blank this year.
Trump needs judges: senate's ok, but i'm not rewarding this Vichi house with my vote.

This is why i don't think the republicans will win as much as people claim. I am not voting for anyone but Trump on the ticket this year.

I have to give Johnson credit where credit's due, he did kill that "bipartisan" immigration bill that would've ensured the invasion continued uninterrupted for the next five years. But I have to wonder what the hell he's thinking working with the Democrats like this. I know the answer is "because he's part of the uniparty." But he had to have seen what happened to McCarthy. That guy gave Democrats everything they wanted and not one of them voted to keep him on as Speaker.

I forget who said this, but someone compared the GOP to Charlie Brown trying to kick the football. They know damn well Lucy's going to pull it up at the last second so she can laugh at them when they fall flat on their backs. But for some reason, they keep thinking "Today's the day I'm going to kick that ball and she's finally going to respect me." Except unlike Charlie Brown, the GOP isn't pulling off any endearing comedy gags. They're sad pathetic cucks who hate their voters.

Again, this would be a "Compromise candidate" that they would be voting for alongside Democrats. Depending on the circumstances (i.e, there is some manufactured emergency that means they "need" a speaker NOW NOW NOW NOW). I believe they could make that "work". On some level I'm just acting as the devil's advocate now, as I really don't know how this would all play out if it actually did occur.

To you and I, yes.

To Joe Bloggs? I'm not so sure. The media can spin brazilification as a positive. They COULD spin churning through candidates as a positive, but they don't want to. Funding every cent is going to happen regardless, unless the Caucus can find someone good who RINOs would actually vote for (Which I don't think will happen).

Arizona is probably going Blue in every national election this year.

Man, 1864 abortion bans sure do turn out the women and men who like abortions.

Pennsylvania is probably going Biden as Josh Shapiro will suck Biden off (he wants to run in 2028 like Newsom)

Michigan, Blue as shit, that witch Gretchen Whitmer is a Dem robots. This pissed off Arabs and Muslims will just stay home.

So those three States are 98% in the bag for Biden.

Nevada and North Carolina.... Who knows

Georgia, Blue as shit for President and Vice President, fucking lol.

Oh and they'll reelect the Senator because "Skinfolk be kinfolk"

Wisconsin.... Did you even have to ask? Biden x10 because they're cuck leftists up there

House and Senate, harder to say

50/50 the Senate goes Red or stays about where it is

House.... 60/40 it stays republican

nothing you typed is remotely reflecting in polling.

The Arizona legislature is definitely fucked, since they are in a way responsible, but split ticket voting for the presidency seems likely. Like you said, recent polling shows Trump maintaining a healthy lead (51-46) in Arizona.
In parallel, They’ve already completely dropped the Florida abortion debate coverage, which signals to me that they think it won’t have enough of an effect on the national races there.

Nevada elected a Republican governor already, North Carolina and Georgia at least went Republican on major races in 2022. (With the exception of the Georgia senate seat.)

Pennsylvania is difficult.
Michigan is weird, I don’t know why it’s so competitive in polling. Maybe Biden really has been screwing the auto industry on the ground level harder than we thought.

They can certainly find votes again, but it’s weird that they would make the race look favorable to Trump if that was their only plan.

Illegal immigration is a huge problem for Arizona. The Arizona rancher trial is going on right now so to me that will be the benchmark for how much they really do care. The lead detective was screeching like George Kelly iced one of his homeboys. Though who knows, he walks free and that gets all the beaners to get violent and force people to vote Democrat.

For Nevada, the Democrat political machine is very powerful there since they only have to focus on mini California (Clark County) so I expect them to go Blue.

People vote for trump and populist candidates not republicans. The old GOP is dead, and is just stumbling along. what is really happening is a new party is forming and it will take a few cycles to finish. this new party is wearing the GOP like a skin suit.
trump can (and i think will) win MI, PA, NV, AZ, GA, NC easily. a republican could not. Wisconsin will be close, but if trump wins it he could well win Minnesota (Wisconsin is growing more liberal while the rest of the rust belt has moved right). They are not bothering with Florida because its a solid red state now, and NC is quickly moving that way (NC resisted the leftward lurch many states took in election results 2018-20).

we have to remember that split ticket voting is, historically, very common in the united states and only diminished due to the polarization of the Obama era. Split tickets should be expected in the rust belt especially. there are a lot of voters in MA and PA that like whitmer and Shapiro, just like how there are a lot of voters that like Beshear in KY but will give trump a 30 point lead of biden come November.

IMO, this is the very best possible performance trump could give assuming all goes right. I don't think carrying Minnesota, Maine or new Hampshire is especially likely but it is more possible this year than any other. remember that Trump always out performs his own polls. always.
