Right off the bat there's a problem with this. Amazon wanting a woman in power armor who isn't SoB is easy and it happens plenty enough in novels, inquisitors can wear power armor and plenty of female inquisitors do from time to time(the one in the Ciaphas Cain books rings a bell).

That is mentioned in the second image, that a power armor inquisitor wasn't enough because they wanted the strong WHAMEN to also be powerful without the armor.

Grifters gonna grift. Sargon and Arch are at least inside the hobby, are lore nerds and actually paint models even if they never play, so they actually have an understanding of it all. Rackets has thousands of dollars of 40k books on his bookshelves behind him -- he gets the limited edition ones that look like legal textbooks at a glance. He also collects Custodes, IIRC. He's not pretending, he is into 40k, at least the fiction and the like.

Can they recton them out at this point? It's going to be years before they get another codex to do that in, and GW's own staff either agree with the progressives or ARE progressives. By 5 years from now they'll have rogue White Dwarf employees posting every single Female Custodes Kitbash they get photos of, random BL authors sneaking them into books, et cetera.

If the leak is true and Wokehammer is claiming insider knowledge and is hinting that it is, the best case scenario is probably going to be GW just absolutely ignoring the fuck out of the idea of Female Custodes forever, and then MAYBE in a future book they just go back to the "Sons of Terran Nobles" phrasing.

Same with the new SM models for 9th and 10th being quite mediocre(except for the unintended apothecary beinging back the go-kart thing for a bit in 9th, which was nerfed).

Or they end up just squatting the line entirely in 11th edition. They did it in AoS. They could do it again if sales are bad and if they’d rather just sidestep it entirely.

My personal biggest/worst example of this is the First War for Armageddon. We went from Logan Grimnar arguing with the Inquisition, and maybe trolling some Stormtroopers by blatantly hiding some Guardsmen and daring them to say something about it, to full scale marine on marine violence, culminating in priceless ships being destroyed, a Grey Knight Grandmaster getting beheaded and a full scale attack on the Fenris System.

It was way worse in 2nd and 3rd Edition which had Grimnar impotently standing by and watching the people of Armageddon be herded off for sterilization and into the labor camp.

I was watching an interview last night and a guy brought up a cool idea for introducing female custodes. The custodes have an interaction with the emperor and go to a SoS barracks. They point to a baby and say that by the emperors will, they're supposed to take her and make her a custode. That could be cool. At minimum, it is a story line.

Instead, they've always existed and we just forgot to mention it until now.

If any of the rumors are true about Amazon, Cavill should walk. If he attaches his name to a shitty product, it's going to ruin his reputation just as much.
