There’s some great videos on the creation of Warhammer 40K and fantasy. It’s an underrated channel imo.
QP for the longest time was trying to will Warhammergate into existence. He bought an 8th edition starter which he had in the background but his lack of familiarity with the subject aggravated a lot of people.
When you've got to stretch 45 seconds worth of a talking point into a 10-15 minute video, there's only so many ways to drag that out with a particular spin for the grift.

Rackets has thousands of dollars of 40k books on his bookshelves behind him -- he gets the limited edition ones that look like legal textbooks at a glance. He also collects Custodes, IIRC. He's not pretending, he is into 40k, at least the fiction and the like.
If it really turned out that Femstodes was choked down GWs throat by Amazon then I might be willing to forgive it if it were retconned out of canon. If it's true, I hope this kills the shit out of the Amazon series. Sorry, Cavill.
Can they recton them out at this point? It's going to be years before they get another codex to do that in, and GW's own staff either agree with the progressives or ARE progressives. By 5 years from now they'll have rogue White Dwarf employees posting every single Female Custodes Kitbash they get photos of, random BL authors sneaking them into books, et cetera.
All it takes is going on Twitter and writing "Female Custodes are no longer canon and never have been, we apologize for the confusion."

Basically. That's how GW has remained afloat despite all their actions. Their fans always come back for more abuse.
Which again, is part of the reason why I don't think all their yammering will matter for anything. They're not the customers. So their disapproval matters very little.
If GW is going to take back one out of two changes, it's more likely they'll roll back the nerfing of the Custodes because it'll actually impact their sales because of the meta. It won't be the Fem-Stodes thing; only the hardcore lore fans care about that shit, and as we said, they barely even buy armies or play the game anymore.
Boycotts rarely work.
Or they end up just squatting the line entirely in 11th edition. They did it in AoS. They could do it again if sales are bad and if they’d rather just sidestep it entirely.
It was way worse in 2nd and 3rd Edition which had Grimnar impotently standing by and watching the people of Armageddon be herded off for sterilization and into the labor camp.
I have an idea, name the thing you hate most about current 40K lore.

This reminds me of the reserve list apologists in magic that tell you that you’re just going to have to pay $800 for a piece of cardboard if you want to play the game consistently. Also lmao @ calling their miniatures “AAA quality”, I’m waiting on a replacement sprue for a canoness because the plastic injection only filled halfway and GW takes their sweet time. While I do appreciate the quality being better than when I left, it’s definitely not AAA.
That’s something that I’ve never understood: they don’t play games, but they’re angry about them.

Nah some of the best 40k fiction in recent years has come out of the Necrons retcon, Infinite and the Divine and the Twice Dead King books come to mind.
