No comments on the 50 billion liberal budget?
Seems the budget is a complete nothing, and is increasing capital gains tax from 50% to 66% to fund "easier concert tickets" (bread and circus for youth) and constructing more affordable housing.
Don't know about you, and maybe this is just me, but any time someone talks about more affordable housing, it almost always translates to condos that noone can afford.
Supposedly, 3.8 million homes will be built by 2031 (so 7 years from now) with this, but I expect major shortfalls on what is actually built, and if it will even be affordable.
We currently have an estimated 3.5 million housing shortage, but thats not including the 30 Indians to a house.
Apparently this bill is also going to limit the amount of people able to stay in one house, so we may see what the actual housing shortage is soon.
Also, cringe youth mental health fund, which just means gibs for danger hairs

The bill isn't horrid everywhere (the idea of allowing building on federal land is good), but it just seems underwhelming, I doubt its going to address everything it claims, and funding this by increasing capital gains just seems like what they do in Latin American socialist shitholes before even more businesses leave.
Imo, thats the kicker and the actual horrid thing. This will likely kill future job growth and investment in the Canadian economy.

Like yeah, I get it, millineals and zoomers have no money so aren't submitting capital gains- but there are reasons why going from 50% to 66% is a nightmare for business and that will have trickle down effects on said generation
