In Argentina, I don't know where those fan girls came from. These girls barely speak a lick of Ingles and they awaken like sleeper agents to buy here overprices and inflated tickets.
Ehh, you could probably say the same with rock bands from before when they tour in Argentina for the language barrier part.

Have people always called album years eras or is that a Taylor thing? Because it's fucking annoying, like she's some literal ruler or something.
It was definitely used by homosexual Twitter stans of various female pop artists, referring to an artist's entire album promotional cycle (singles, music videos, tour, etc.) as an "era" (i.e. Lady Gaga's Born This Way era, Katy Perry's Teenage Dream era, etc.). Taylor most likely picked it up from the Swifties

why does every teenage white girl think that taylor swift a billionaire in her late 30s that flies on private jets is relatable
Because they're stupid and immature consumers that fell for the idea that if not for the riches and fame, Swift would have been their bestie.

Seriously, there's some weird chatter right now that fans are going to concerts and exchanging friendship bracelets.

I’m so pleased to see there’s a Swiftie thread.

Specific and hyper-modern references in music like GTA, social media and ‘my aesthetic’ are extremely jarring to me. I don’t know why, it’s not like it bothers me when singers refer to watching TV or talking on the phone. But something about singing about the Internet, texting and vidya just doesn’t work, and I can’t think of a song where it isn’t a huge record scratch.

It's like when some one-hit wonder referenced TRL years ago. Felt like the fakest, most soulless song ever made at the time.

These lyrics read like AI generated SEO garbage-- I'm going to call it now in fact, Taylor Swift used AI to SEO optimize her song lyrics, and the swifties will defend it as a deep artistic choice.

I will admit that like some of her stuff (a lot of the older stuff more than anything) and I haven't even given ttpd a try but the lyrics have already made me cringe into oblivion, and I hate using that word.

If those lyrics came from literally any other artist, they'd be memed into oblivion.

Does she really not have one person in her life that could pull her aside and say "These lyrics absolutely suck"? Those are so terrible I thought they were fake at first.
If they’re not defending the lyrics, they’re busy trying to analyze all the Easter eggs in the videos, lyrics, social media posts, and even Taylor’s clothing.

Let me know when these guys try to compare her lyrics skills to somebody like Chuck D from Public Enemy.
