Fallout series

Nah, Boone is the best one:
-simple but cool design
-cool backstory
-strongest companion of them all, can carry you trough the entire game alone
-him always opening fire at Legion actually fits the narrative and influences gameplay (compare it to Fallout 4 when you can bring Strong or Hancock to Brotherhood's blimp and nobody bats an eye)
-gives you the best piece of headgear in the game
-doesn't speak much, but when he does its mostly to give you advice
-all his endings are bittersweet and interesting
I'll take him over modern "I'll spout dumb one-liners every 20 seconds, lol I'm so quirky" RPG followers any time.
Yup. I also like Arcade. He's a bit of a bitchy fag, but he helps heal you, packs a fucking plasma defender as his default companion weapon with infinite ammo, and somehow picked up PA training while on the run as a kid. Oh, and he knows a bunch of oldfags who still know how to fight and hands you a kickass suit of armor. Yes, he's a naive do-gooder, but a smart Courier can turn some of his own logic against him. You can blow away a fellow Follower during The White Wash right in front of him and then persuade Arcade it was for the greater good.
"Not all sacrifices are made by the willing. When it comes right down to it that was the same choice Anderson was willing to make. But where is the lamb for the burnt offering?"
If you're allied with the Legion, Boone will still be fooled by you if you're wearing NCR armor. What's funny is, the moment you take off the uniform and talk with him, he's like, "I knew it! You're one of them!"
You can also snag Boone, toss on Legion armor afterwards, and he won't fire even when you both stroll into Cottonwood Cove.

Faction armor is one of the more hilarious broken aspects of New Vegas. It's also prone to all sorts of weird issues. There are a lot more faction armor types than most would think as well. Boomers, NCR, Legion, Brotherood, Fiends, White Glove Society, Khans, and Powder Gangers. There are some very specific actions and quests that the faction armors can interact with.

There used to be an entire article about how faction clothing affected the game in New Vegas that was deleted from the Fallout fandom without explanation. Someone has been going through the New Vegas wikis and deleting a lot of the strategy or guide aspects and basically dumbing down the wikis into just basic stats and game values like health/DT/armor.

what do you guys think is the prettiest fallout game
fallout 4 is a piece of shit in every other aspect but i liked a lot of the environments i saw when they weren't underground mazes

Depends.
Well, FO4's climate have sense (210 years after the bombs fell) but i don't like too much the shiny aspect.

The only good thing about the show is I can shit on ncr cucks by reminding them that ncr Has been destoried while Cesaers legion is still around. For now anyways.
There is a schizo theory saying that the Legion are actually alive and well by 2296 (the show's time) while Mr. House/Yes Man and NCR got ack'd.

It's just now the Legion (somehow) got subsumed or merged with the Brotherhood of Steel and its why the specific chapter that's the center of attention in the TV series tend to use Roman LARP names (Maximus, Titus, Thaddeus, etc.), their emblem is red, and seem to wholly prefer 'primitive' (by BoS standards) weapons like the ugly ass Fo4 assault rifle.

Also at one point the TV show chapter elder refers to his chapter as a 'legion'.

I always felt like 3 and 4 would have a perfect atmosphere/environment if it was meant to take place <100 years after the Bomb. One of the things that's bothered me with the newer ones is that people just kinda seem to leave garbage and trash everywhere. Even New Vegas is guilty of this. If the Long 15 is such an important trading route, why the fuck are there car husks still blocking the road? People would've shoved them off years ago and they would litter the sides. Just little things, I guess.

3 and 4 have the excuse of being in dense cities that were targeted by the nukes and no one can get their shit together to clean up the amount of rubble
but i do agree that it's dumb to have random shit everywhere because you want a big world map but dont have anything cool to fill it with

So while reminiscing about New Vegas I looked at the Wikipedia page and the current head Wiki idiot(s) have given the most absurd intentional diss on New Vegas, declaring it a "Spinoff." Their citations for this are 3 articles from Polygon, RockPaperShitgun, and ArsTechnica.

Titles can be considered spin-offs despite being canon. Like there are main line series (Fallout 1 - 4 in this case) and there are side projects. It doesn't really make the product lesser in my opinion.

If Bethesda INSISTS on a voiced protag with a some personality, at least do what Cyberpunk 2077 did and have it to where I can choose a background, and can be flexible on how he is as a person, and have you fill in the gaps.
cp2077 rpg elements are fucking dogshit. yeah let me play the story of some asshole retard speaking into my brain and my only options are how to fucking die. cp2077 was fucking shit

It's still beyond me how people even choose to give a shit about the world of Cyberpunk. It's not even a particularly good cyberpunk setting either (Blade Runner has it beat) aside from it coining the name.

I knew it was shit all along when Pondsmith said "the aesop is: save yourself" as if we need any more nihilistic slop.
