If that was true then shell corporations and offshore tax havens wouldn't be so popular with big business.

Corporate offshore tax havens have nothing to do with keeping personal assets secret from the IRS.

They'll still go after small business owners that don't know all the tax evasion tricks, but all of the bigger companies will get off scott free.

They'll tax you on your business's value if you own a small business, and on your portfolio's market cap if you own shares in a big business. Your stocks & bonds will be even easier to assess, since prices are publicly listed.

I hope to god this DEI shit dies when Trump is in office
DEI (at least for the Secret Service) will only go away when something bad happens to the wrong person.

Say for example a politician having a close call because their security detail was made up of retard diversity hires.

Nah, the politician would need to be greviously injured or killed with a very powerful relative or public favor backing them up

Julie Kelly's thread is great, but here's the main things. It also looks like it's either 5-4 for immunity flat out (all men vs. the dumb women) or it will be limited immunity, go back and decide what is what, which means no way the trial started before November and if it did I bet SCOTUS would say something.
If it's 5-4 then Roberts will flip and join the women. 100%.

I suspect the competency crisis will continue to escalate, but it is engineered and intentional at this point, so... Maybe once planes start falling out of the sky instead of just large parts of them, or some sassy black female ATC causes two planes to collide at an airport and they don't hide the recordings in time. So far instead we've had several near misses (including some fuck me momenets on the recordings, mostly of men stepping forward and taking control at the last minute to save things) or black diversity hires ignoring the safety meeting they had FIFTEEN MINUTES AGO to walk in front of a jet engine and it turns out you can't just snap your fingers at it to get it to stop -- and jet fuel might not melt steal beams but weave doesn't stop jet turbines either.

Secret Service? More like Sweet Baby Inc. Service

T-Boogie seriously better make sure he has nothing but Zoro's protecting him, at least until Barron can wield the Dragonslayer:
Allowing someone with obvious mental health issues into an occupation with serious stress as a regular part of the job is pretty cruel. Not much different than letting a guy with Down's become a CPA.

Unfortunately, a 25% unrealized gains tax -- a tax on money you didn't make, but the government thinks you could have -- is also being pushed by whatever pink danger haired intern with "lesbian librarian on tumblr" glasses has xer hand up the puppet's ass today, which should be interesting when big business realizes what that means for them.
It'll be 25%, phase in income will probably like $12,000 a year. Can't have the plebs investing in the stock market. It would also eliminate tax loss harvesting strategies that a lot of normal, not wealthy Americans can use to minimize their tax burden. This alone would be bad, but compared with everyone else, I wouldn't be surprised if most people ignore it. If they have a non-compliance rate of 80-99%, would they really try to arrest and charge LITERALLY FUCKING EVERYONE?

A tax on an asset you haven't even sold yet, just based on it's 'perceived' value is utter fucking tyranny. The only reason I can sort-of get behind property taxes is that the building does require the support of public infrastructure, which property taxes should be implemented to offset, because it provides a social benefit to everyone. This is something else entirely.

Ajit Pai removed it in Trump's first term, everyone acted like it would end the internet but it didn't, and now instead of realizing they were wrong or that people just don't care anymore and they could hide taking the L, they have to bring Fag Neutrality back.
I recall how Net Neutrality was going to kill the internet, then removing it would kill the internet.

Such a good day for Trump all around. Also the defense of the government to say no president has ever committed a crime might be the most retarded thing I ever heard, especially when Justice Thomas brought up Operation Mongoose.

The justices just loaded up a SAW with a belt full of examples and let fly.
I'm surprised watergate didn't come up.
Justice Thomas should have brought up how, according to Amnesty International, Obama's drone strikes could be considered war crimes.

That doesn't hit single men.

I wonder if the government is suicidal enough to try that.
Yes, single men can pay child support. In fact, child support is a legal obligation for both parents, regardless of their marital status. The court’s primary concern is the well-being and financial stability of the child, and both parents are expected to contribute to the child’s upbringing.
And if they're paying alimony that means they're most likely single.

What the hell was your point retard?

NO MORE MONEY TO UKRAINE!

Cartoon Published 04/25/2024

Thanks to Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson cravenly caving to the Democrats, Congress has passed a $95 billion foreign aid package—$61 billion will go to the meat grinder in the corrupt and contemptible country of Ukraine.

Part of that money will go into corrupt hands both here and in Ukraine. It is said Zelensky has skimmed $400 million and his operatives have no doubt stolen commensurate amounts. A lot of the money will be funneled into the US Military Industrial Complex, which will kickback campaign money to the politicians who voted for the travesty.

The money could have gone toward fixing our wide open southern border several times over. It could have been used to build badly-needed infrastructure here at home, or help halt the rise in crime, homelessness, and suffering. Instead it will go toward war and perpetuate suffering in Ukraine. US citizens will pay for it with higher inflation. Ukraine’s debt will be forgiven. No auditing is necessary—of course not. That would interfere with the corruption.

Ukraine has now received a total of nearly $200 billion from the US, even though we are in over $34 trillion in debt and theoretically there is no money to give. Thanks to a debt money printing press that endlessly chatters ‘brrrrr,’ Congress is able to spend us into an even bigger oblivion.

The final traitorous insult occurred when many ‘representatives’ waved Ukrainian flags and chanted “Ukraine! Ukraine!” after the aid package was passed. Perhaps they were celebrating Ukraine corruption as well as their own.

I was very surprised when Trump invited Johnson to Mar-a-Lago a few weeks ago. The foreign aid package was a slap in the face to all of us MAGA minded, but Trump praised Johnson and apparently his influenced helped solidify his speakership. There are no longer enough votes to remove him—and the Democrats have promised to vote for him to keep him there. The Uni-Party is now more unified, thanks to Trump. Marjorie Taylor Greene had to be very disappointed that a motion to vacate Johnson will not work. The Democrat legacy media praised Johnson for taming Trump, who called Johnson a “good person.” The lefty media also compared Johnson with Pence—for doing the right thing. A Republican being a backstabber who caves to the left draws praise from The New York Times.

Johnson also championed a bill that renews FISA, which allows the corrupt security agencies to spy on all Americans without a warrant. This is necessary to quell any rebellion as Americans continue to be converted into slaves while our uni-party government morphs into something resembling the Chinese Communist Party.

Ron Paul vigorously denounced Johnson in a video on X.

“Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer is reported to have bragged to his colleagues about how easily Speaker Johnson gave Democrats everything they wanted and asked for nothing in return.” “In the worst example of bipartisanship, Johnson reached across the aisle, stiffed the Republican majority that elected him speaker, and pushed through a massive gift to the warfare corporate welfare state. After the House voted to send another $60 billion to notoriously corrupt Ukraine, members waved Ukrainian flags on the House floor and chanted, ‘Ukraine! Ukraine!’ While I find it distasteful and disgusting, in some ways, it seemed fitting.”

@RonPaul
Trump should have denounced Johnson as well. Instead he is supporting him for reasons that are unfathomable to the MAGA minded. Is he doing this to help get himself reelected? Is he playing 4-D chess? Who knows—I only know that I agree Ron Paul—and his son Rand.

Trump should have invited Ron Paul to Mar-a-Lago instead. I enjoy drawing Trump in a positive light, but when he disappoints I will not pull any cartoon punches. This was a big disappointment.

Grrrgraphics supports President Trump and thinks he is the only choice if we want to save the Republic. But MAGA is not a cult and we are free to point out missteps that affect us all.

you do realize married people get a tax break right
I'm referring to a direct tax on bachelors there, not an effective one.

I'm referring to men that don't bother getting in a relationship at all. Can't get nabbed for child support if you never have kids.

because factors outside your control could cost you the entire airfare.
exactly a buddy i had who worked for a very short amount of time at one of those numerous airline booking sites 20 years ago said the airline industry was like the resturant industry but if every resturant had to be outside (AKA any weather destroys that day's revenue and that week's profit) and because of the regulations, it made it a huge pain in the ass even being a code monkey for one of the least used websites for booking airtravel. like the typical way of doing anything was either illegal or regulated to the point of being useless and the whole "earths climate fucks you" aspect didn't help either.

This has to be a deliberate way of destroying the airline industry between this and the boeing stuff i'd be surprised if air travel didn't just straight up cease to exist in a decade.
what do I get refunded?
it has to be 3 hrs, which still isn't that long. also despite the headlines its mostly the same as the current rules only instead of "airline credit" you get cash which makes sense.
Buy cheap plane ticket. "Lose" bag. Claim bag had $2000 of sensitive electronics inside.
you could have done that before buddy. then you got a stew goin
This may sound like it will only hit Jeff Bezos,
with inflation on its way to 20% YoY i'd say it will go from something only Jeff Bezos will have to worry about and soon something Jeff Marsh and other barely employed people will have to worry about.
I guarantee we've been in a depression.
i'd say we're doing even worse than the 30s too. at least then people were honest. now its rough, its harder to find solutions when no one is honest. Not that we had any good solutions until the world wars destroyed everyone else's industrial capacity but still
