It's not!UAE with Italian skin sewed on, arc*si* are the franco-american lolbertarians, very cool how they just take real world countries and reskin them a little bit but manage to make very unique somehow (by making them white usually, yet to see a single brownoid country aside from maybe swarthy looking Moridians and native American USSR).
I recommend it if you liked the base game, it has a better army system than hoi4 that's for sure but if you're fighting a war in the first place you've screwed up. The golden ending where you suck Saddam's dick to the last second before biting his balls off, buddy up with the commies to enact monarcho-bolshevism, embrace homoislam with the Talbian to bring geopolitical peace to not!Afghanistan, and marry you daughter to annex your nemesis with matrilineal marriage to cuck him out of his inheritance by making a spare heir with knife-wife only to completely wreck the nobles with an actually decent constitution with rights nshit that keeps all your power is extremely satisfying.

One thing I didn't like is how all the flowery dialogue (you're the king afterall makes sense you talk all fancy) doesn't really branch off much, unlike with Rayne where if you pick a 3rd or 4th option and it leads to a totally different outcome, besides a few conversations you're much more on rails, the speeches are fun though just channel your inner Queen Elizabeth/FDR.

How long has it been since that Italy update was "just around the corner" now?

I've just about given up on the modding scene for this game since it's been years since a new mod has come out and all the new projects don't have any work done when they reveal themselves so they just end up falling apart anyway.

The whole France, Italy and Turkey update was near release since 2021 or so. Wtf happened?

The Russians didn't do too bad at land (Battle of Mukden, Sandepu and Yalu River have pretty even casualties) and them getting BTFO'd at sea is mostly due to nobody being able to fill Markov's shoes in time after his ship got sunk. Tsar Nicholas alone can't be blame that much for the loss, but is deffinently to blame for the shithow that happened after the war was lost.

I remember reading that the Tsar was still somewhat popular when he was killed which was a issue. There was a big controversy over the kids thought which a lot of people were angry about.

The one person no one cared was killed and everyone just sort of went "good riddance" was the Tsarina actually.

TWR's going to update soon in like a week apparently. However the mod owner is constantly getting mad at people on Reddit over "update when????". Also the steam comments are amusing as well on the mod page. Mind you the mod hasn't been updated in a year.
