Maybe just move the cap to 300, its a bit contrived to cap it at 200 per damage type anyways, it would still let you push them way past -100 health by just comboing damage types
there is some sort of shit code going on.

I haven't played SS13 before but I am reading about the rules and mechanics. Is there like a practice mode or something where I can try do the cigarette test solo? Probably gonna download it later today.

tbh during off hours its usually empty anyhow, you could also download the repo and open the .dme and do 'compile and run' if you must have privacy at all costs, everyone is retarded anyways though so doesnt seem necessary
 
Is it not able to damage it far enough to disintegrate it despite changing the limit?

What do you think of removing the tox damage from slimes would give players more time before soft crit?

Sounds good to me. Well if my first job is going to be Assistant or Janny, probably doesn't seem that hard lol I guess some trial and error wouldn't hurt.

Once you get the hang of the controls they'll stick like glue. Use this if you need some pointers as well. If someone else is on at the time when you get on before the populated sessions they'll likely be happy to walk you through the basics if you get really stuck.
 
Okay just finished testing numbers based on letting a slime eat you while you do nothing from full hp.

I'm rather fond of the toxin damage I'd rather just slow the overall damage down a bit at this point
 
Okay I've pushed a slime nerf.

Lowers slimes clone damage from ( 5 to 6 ) to 2 ( this damage happens every 3 seconds ) Lowers tox damage from ( 1 to 2 ) to 1.
Monkeys +200% clone damage.

This was a huge fucking hassle mostly in just finding a clean way to do it that was not hacky in the middle of super shitty code
 
Shiieeeet got no time this Saturday. It's ok, what I'll do is probably still practice more on other servers or maybe gun for Wednesday.

  • EFTPOS rewrite
    • scan your ID to link your account to the eftpos (PDA with ID in it also works fine)
    • i have defined prices for every drink and food in the game, you may scan these with an EFTPOS to automatically populate a price
      • you can still manually input a transaction if you want
    • you can now use these transactions to remotely bill people who have a their ID in their pda and a bank account
      • they get a popup to accept or reject the payment
@HahaYes has handily ported the food and drinks guide from bay wiki over to our wiki, and I have edited in the price definitions
  • when slimes eat people they now drop all their items and 'using' a reagent container now sets transfer amount (@Dustland)
  • significantly reduced gun miss chance (again) by reworking the math
    • previously, if you missed your aimed-at bodypart, there was a 70% chance of missing the person entirely. that has been reduced to 12%.
    • if you aim for the chest, there should be a 90% hit chance on the chest, and now an overall 98.8% chance of hitting something (previousl overall 93%)
    • if you aim for a hand, the there should be a 10% hit chance on the hand, and overall hit chance of 89.2% (previously overall 37%)
  • point blank gunfire works for non-harm intents
  • buffed alcohol considerably

Will work on resolving some more issues before the session today but no new features before then

That's fucking ridiculous.
Yea that sucked, I took the time to read over every part of the shooting code logic and was like 'wtf fag'

I'm pretty sure that applies to everyone the beam tries to hit too, so if it misses the first guy it will miss the next guy like you were aiming for his hand too. it was really gay and against all good principles of how combat is supposed to work

Considering what /tg/ did to butcher combat with the removal of intent, I think it's safe to say the idea of how combat should work in ss13 is lost on a lot of people. You may as well have slammed down the entire contents of the bar, thrown your eyes in the bin and gone on a drunken rampage with that 70% miss chance

Here's an idea: What if they just focus on making a fun system instead of worrying about the meta? The answer to "Combat isn't fun!" shouldn't be "We'll make it even less fun", but who am I to question the tranny psyche.
