The weapon that Imu used earlier in this arc rose the sea by (IIRC) a Meter.

And the current "Islands" being Mountain Range Peaks would explain how weird it is that this is all supposed to be an ocean but a bunch of important islands seem to be clustered really close together sometimes...aaaaaannnd Fishman Island was above Sea-level at some point so the water levels rising would explain that.

I hate myself for it needing to be pointed out to me but the Celestial Dragons where what look like diving suits when they leave Marie joise.

The excuse was always "So we don't breathe the same air as commoners!", but it's taken on a much darker implication now. They just want to save themselves, no one else.

Oda's gonna have to deliver on the best fitting punishment for the Celestial Dragons.

You know, when we finally went inside Punk Records, I was expecting to see a bare brain instead of the top part of Vegapunk's head. I wasn't expecting him to have been literal when he said he just cut the top part of his head. Which, by the way, was a lot smaller than I expected since he's had 7 information inputs for a couple of years (even though we were shown the actual size of his head without cutting). I honestly thought it was the size of the structure itself.

It would have been way more fun if Punk Records was his actual brain size. I was fully expecting the reveal to be that Mars was inside the brain itself.

I think Oda just didn't want to draw an actual brain. It's more goofy to have an actual giant head than an exposed elongated brain like it was Mother Brain from Captain N.

i could have imagined this but i thought they wore the helmets because they get some weird disease that ends up killing them. which is why when they took bonneys mom to be a slave she ended up getting it and dying and bonney also had it before she was cured by vegapunk.
