Between Sony, the community manager sperging out on discord and the dev's comments towards the community, I'm convinced they made this game good by complete accident and have been trying their best to fix that.

It amazes me just how much a modern company can piss away all of the goodwill they've built with just a single bullshit decision.

I hope the players put enough pressure on ArrowHead to make Steam start giving out refunds. Some users on /v/ report that they've already gotten a refund on the game after playing for more than 2 hours.

At the very least ArrowHead has a full month to fight this... if they intend to fight this.

All software companies do that though. How many games (even profession software) do you have that in their own EULA describe what your purchasing as a license vs an actual copy of the game? Even hardware is getting in on EULA/TOS rape train when you buy their products with no way to even opt out, you can but they have specific steps that no normal person use enough to have a personal label maker so they have to go to the post office to get them to do it. Let's not even get started with subscription based stuff (You pay for higher quality but you're not streaming it the way netflix want you to so you only get low quality) This rot goes far deeper, it's just started being noticed by everyone else.

I wonder when these corporate dumbfucks are going to wise up and realize that having an official Discord and a CM who does this kind of shit usually does more harm than good. Probably never.

You now will literally have to abide by Sony's rules, up to and including sending them your IRL dox on request, to play the game. If Sony decides you're banned for any reason, even one not related to HD2, you're likely going to lose access to your game.

Please, use your fucking brain.

I'm not even sure I can request a refund at this point, since I bought my key from a third party (best buy). At this point, it's only $40 bucks, but it's still the principle of the fuckin' thing. Sony's data breaches happen far to frequently to trust them with ANYTHING. Leave it to Sony to piss away good will away and give them a win for once. Nope. Can't have that. The game was working unfucked with on PC just fine, and this might just potentially break the entire thing. So for now, it's just going to have to sit in my library uninstalled, 'cause I refuse. I'm done.

The recent nerf has prompted unknown cheats to share their cheating methods for free.

I am releasing this since I will not be probably playing the game anymore.

The last patch really pissed me off with the balancing. The sheer incompetence of the dev team is astonishing.

I think it is in everyones right to have as much fun with the game as possible and people shouldn't be forced to follow their shitty balancing patches.

I am releasing this in a hope that it will make it easier for people to reverse the game and make hacks for it.

I actually owe a lot to the CMs of this game. I heard about how shitty they were and it was one of the key reasons I didn't buy the game despite pressure from friends. If you can't get your unpaid employees in line then it's a pretty big sign of your games future. Look for the games where the unpaid employees are autists obsessed with the game and actually want more people to buy it. The good ones will usually just spend all day waiting to reply within 10 seconds to any questions about the mechanics or bugs with the game.
