why should i care of the opinion of someone that dosent even interact with the media he says his a fan of? your opinion means nothing to me since you clearly have not put any energy interacting with it out of your own interest.

I was wondering why the Uncritical Dimwit has such a bone to pick with Zack Snyder as Rebel Moon is most definitely not good but far from some terrible crime against movie making, about the level of an average MCU film. It's even some VERY stupid and silly campiness if approached with the right mindset, with the excessive slow-mo abuse and ludicrous 30-minute roundtable of tragic hero backstories being standout laughs for me.

Then it hit me:

Please don't tell me these dorks are still seething about this incident, it's been 3 goddamn years... and ofc the whole EFAP/fandom menace gayly agree on the "kayfabe" for what to praise or condemn ahead of time. Either way, the films have commercially succeeded (proof below) whether you love it or hate them, so hats off to Snyder and his third-worlder fanbase and here's to 6 more instalments of Rebel Moon with many hours of slow-mo and flashbacks. But despite him having a similar fanbase to Snyder, Drinker's movie will probably flop as copypasted rants about SJWs on youtube do not a good screenwriter make and its trailer has been roundly made fun of. Or maybe it'll do well and the two can settle things in an epic final battle using their two methed-up hordes of millions of loyal Pajeets in the streets of Calcutta.

Also this parody was much better than both parts of RM:

That is a possibility. Perhaps it's also because there is no current MCU or Disney SW installment and Snyder is an easy target. Also, they may be trying to kneecap the possibility that the director's cuts for both RM parts will improve it much like with the director's cut of Justice League (I think Mauler is still miffed he got heat for his video on the Snyder Cut).

The point of Rebel Moon was to be self indulgent. Gratuitous slow-mo aside the characters are all maxed out on their tropes. I mean are people supposed to take the decadent villain engaging in drugged out tentacle goon sessions seriously? He’s running around beating people with a bronzed bone for gods sake the camp and cheese is the point.

Rebel Moon managed to be more boring than Disney Star Wars. Please donate to my Patreon for more opinions.

I have never watched Rebel Moon, but Snyder films never have subtlety about them. Characters and scenes/events are always maxed out in terms of gratuitous things, there is no nuance to a character. It is Snyder's style, and if you don't like his style then you just won't like his films. I think his style works better in certain types of movies compared to others, and when he has other people around him to control some of his more absurd ideas it works pretty well. The DCEU (especially BvS) is an example of Snyder getting way to much power with no one to stop him from making everything too absurd.

I watched the first Rebel Moon, I will never watch the sequel. It is truly terrible, not "haha so bad it's funny" terrible, rather it's a giant stereotype of a hyper delusional Hollywood creator who surrounds himself with yes-men because that makes him feel better, and yet he somehow still gets work.

My god are all their points just terrible.. In the beginning, they made no real arguments as to why the puzzles in the newer GOW games are better than the old ones.
Their whole argument boiled down to justifying the newer puzzles' existence, nothing about why they are a better replacement than the puzzles in the older GOW games. Other than they found the platforming puzzles tedious, but that's a matter of opinion. To me, they were more interesting than throwing your axe at some random places as a puzzle.

17 min in, Mayo talks about how climbing in the newer games has been reduced to just pointing your analog stick upwards and then that's it, making climbing automatic in comparison to the older games where you had more freedom of movement climbing while at the same time, you could get attacked by other enemies thus allowing you to engage in combat while climbing.

Mauler, the dumbass, defends this by claiming that the older games were also 'automatic' because all you needed to do was spam 'square, square, square' when you engaged the enemies while climbing..

Any of you who have played the older GOW games on hard and/or very hard knows this is bullshit, I have finished both GOW2 and GOW3 on the hardest difficulty and that statement is totally WRONG. You can't just spam square, square, square, because if you do, you'd get hit and die very quickly, you had to maneuver plenty of times to avoid getting hit and you had to be careful when you attacked because attacking at the wrong time could allow the enemy to hit you which does a lot of damage. I died numerous times in the climbing section, that wouldn't happen if it was ''automatic''.

What Mauler says might be true if you're playing on the easiest difficulty where you can get away with just spamming 'square, square, square' but in the harder difficulties, you have to be strategic in how you approach every combat situation, including the climbing sections. But even still, the climbing section was still better in the older games because it required you to do more than hold your analog stick upwards. I don't understand why they needed to defend this part. It's like they are incapable of admitting even the most obvious of flaws and have to defend them, making them have these ultra retarded takes.

Also, I heard Fringy have this amazing, super intelligent take where in response to Mayo saying the new climbing is automatic;
''Well neither of them are automatic technically, they aren't, you got to move, the game won't do it for you''. What an autist..
