And even though the negative reviews played a part at this change of heart (?), it also goes to show how shitty Blizzard has gotten, since Overwatch 2 is still THE lowest rated game on Steam, and that game wasn't improved even with the low ratings.

I USED TO LOVE SONY. WHY DID THEY TURN INTO SUCH FUCKING FAGGOTS. I still kind of like their products, and it's nice to have PS5 to play old PS4 games in 60fps.

This is actually what you should do (removing the bad reviews). Devs (and Sony) hate making concessions because they feel like they get nothing from it. In this case if you reverse the review bomb they can see making that choice and siding with gamers actually did something.

xhe's probably not wrong about that. It would be a lot easier to stop cheating by banning someone's PSN (which can contain thousands of dollars worth of games they can take from you.) But still, suck it, enable hardware ID bans and make an anti-cheat.

You remember those great games on the PC that you fell in love with? Warcraft? Age of Empires? Caesar? SimCity? Half-Life? Rollercoaster Tycoon? Command & Conquer? Awesome. They can fuck right off. It's them who has business with me, not the other way around. I've sworn off giving any money to anything that even needs online to play, steam included. If I can't buy a physical thing, slap it into the device and play instantly without any gay signup it means the purchase was worth $0 because the terms of the sale can change any day for no fucking reason.

Meanwhile my DS cartridges will never stop working. Or my PS1 discs (well more like the SD card that has all my PS1 ISOs). Fuck modern gaming let it die. My backlog will last me until I die no problem

I distinctly remember playing Q3A and UT99 and others without steam, accounts or any of that shit. Dedicated servers, do you kids even know what that shit is anymore? Mods? User created maps?

I can spin up a server with CTF-Face, LowGravity and InstaGib RIGHT NOW and it works just as well as it did in 2000. And I can spam NIGGER in the chat without ever worrying about anyone taking my game away. Can you say the same for your steam goyslop?

Nowadays, video games are in a rough spot, to put it lightly. Game-breaking bugs, performance issues and Day 1 MTX are the current "standard" on release. Not to mention identity politics and other dumb shit shoved down your throat, and don't you fucking dare to speak up against it, chud. People are getting more wary and tired of it and there is less restraint on making their voices heard as consumers.

Isn't this a PVE game where you fight waves of bugs or robots that die pretty trivially? If you made some kind of hack that shoots all the bugs instantly, you would only be ending games quickly, and if you did that your teammates would probably shoot you in the face because this game has friendly fire. You could make a bot that instantly shoots your teammates or something, but the match would still end in seconds, right?

killing enemies doesn't actually reward you (except on the one mission type where the main objective is a kill quota). it's just something you have to do to not die. what cheats are actually used for in HD2 - aside from the typical infinite health/ammo shit - is things like being invisible to enemies, marking all resources on the map, increasing move speed, that kind of shit. also, due to the nature of the game's hosting system, cheating only works if you're playing solo. source: one of my friends used a trainer to skip all the bullshit grinding, which is the only real reason to cheat in that game.

It's probably been said before but everyone I knew was playing this game and trying to push it on me super hard. Didn't like the anti-cheat they used so I held off, they pulled this stunt and I'm only cemented in my decision not to play it. I'm glad they reversed their decision after huge backlash but sorry doesn't cut it anymore for me.

unironically though if you can keep your chudness under control online you will be actually fine. Maybe you're not okay with that, I totally get that, but I have had zero problems over 12 years. Maybe people with more willingness to use gamer words would have more trouble though.

I knew the bullshit was coming when the newer PS3s weren't backward compatible with PS2 or PS1 discs and that was 15 years ago.

Lucked out and bought one of the 1st generation models with the PS2 chip included so as long as it doesn't break I've can play any of my old stuff with the original disc. It's not Crash Bandicoot 2 if you're not popping it out of the jewel case.
