Was about to say the same. Muh 15 year legacy. YouTube figure who is actually recognizable by normies as “The Guy”. He’s not just some random with a 40 subscriber channel that nobody knows about. Saying “nobody” has heard of DSP just isn’t true, as he could be reasonably recognized by average people who use the Internet.

Views are irrelevant on jewtube.

Vinesauce, arguably the biggest streamer on the platform has double his subscriber count, but fewer views overall and I still don't think he's a public figure either.

Phil's orbiters and some retards could watch Phil over and over again and give him tons of views. You can try that with any youtube channel I'd bet most youtubers with more subs than Phil will have a lower view count.

Weither Phil is a public figure only matters in defamation law, when it comes to copyright, trademark, and publicity your average Joe has the same rights as your average celebrity. In fact, making this argument is harmful because the game clearly is using Phil's name and likeness to sell the game and the devs can't claim Phil's endorsement can't be used to make money.

I suppose this is too minor of a game for someone to crack and put up on the high seas, but maybe someone with the ability to de-steam it will do so and put it up on TPB or something out of principle. (and a fuck you to DSP.)

Phil is right to DMCA takedown blatant raw restreams or uploads of his streams. No matter the mental gymnastics or analogies you want to resort to, they are not fair use and he's 100% allowed to take them down.

This guy made an asset flip of a game, put his face on it and is selling it at $5.00. It is objectively using his likeness, it is objectively without permission, and it is not in fair use.

Phil is, and will always be a fucked bitch and a salty subhuman scum fuck, and I will always find enjoyment in his misery, but he is LEGALLY in the right to take shit like this down. It's just a really bad look for him (or his "team", and it makes him look even more like a bitch.

What's the original game if you don't mind me asking? The whole thing did look weird. Having "detractors" and pay pigs be muscle bound men was a weird touch.

"The guy" so horrible at video games that people created TIHYDP videos as a subgenre around him because his pure retardation and self-entitlement was just that aggravating.

Just beat the game.

It gets pretty hard on the third chapter, but in true DSP fashion, you can absolutely cheese it with magic, LOL.

The ending hints at a sequel where DSP becomes the Pigroach.

A lot of love and effort went into this game, more than all of DSP's actual fans have ever poured into DSP fanart put together.

Such a shame it got taken down, but i can see why he did it like he did, it just wouldn't have been the same without the pictures and sound clips, the dev just refused to compromise.

I’m impressed. Instead of paying thousands of dollars to hire a lawyer, the developer paid Phil $10 for unequivocal evidence that Phil didn’t submit the DMCA, plus they can make a good case to use any of his rant in their game as voice acting seeing as they paid him $10 for it.

The game can now come back with everything restored prior to the takedown if they’d like. And if they’re playing it safe, just replace his likeness and voice lines with anything from this rant.

Don’t know if it’s legal or not but hey, they have a case.
