I think drinker is a grifter because because he only takes potshots at easy targets and blatantly contradicts himself when it comes to hard ones.

Calling the black chick in ragnarok "not woke" because "its a game with gods and monsters but a black chick bothers you?" is literally every single trope about the people he claims to oppose condenced into one, but of course he'll say that because the game is popular.

Same deal with arcane, he was completely uncritical of the hamfisted lesbian subplot that made no sense (or the insane ammount of racebending) because arcane was popular as hell with normies and he knew that anything sort of unbridled praise would meet with pushback.

One of the comments linked here earlier put it best, every once in a while he'll pick a show popular with normies, regardless of how good or bad it may be, and praise it so he can gain plausible deniability at the cost of actual credibility.

He's a hypocritical grifter that occasionally steers normies in the right path, but I'm not gonna suck his dick about it because he'd turn into "trans rights are human rights" in a second if he saw the wind blow the other way.

With genuine losers and scam artists like Doomcuck, trying to profit with bullshit rumors, and fake rage, I am surprised the drinker of all people is the one being called a grifter.

Worst you can say about him is that he has some milquetoast takes.

There’s this fat guy with a mask promising KK will be fired for sure every month, and all the others rage baiting for YouTube money, but, sure, the guy with sensible takes on movies, that maybe missed the mark a couple of times is the grifter.

I mean, Drinkers grifting only happens when he sticks his nose into stuff, that he clearly has surface level understanding about, like the whole 40k debacle with Fem Custodes or the video game scene. Its clear the guy has about knowledge about this shit as MovieBob.

Edit: He doesn't really talk about the book for the first 14-15 minutes, it's just kinda character assassination. Hell, it's mostly nitpicking in general going by some non-faggy comments.

I've attempted to read the first one twice and was so bored and uninterested I don't think I finished the first chapter either time. One day I might actually fully read it, but right now with how little time I have to try and read a book, I'm going to stick with more interesting ones.

It's the same thing that if you're even a little skeptical of a left-leaning idea, you are clearly alt-right and associated with the worst kind of people.

We see it everywhere: identity politics, abortion, medicine.

It does no good to lift up the worst case scenario - everyone knows they're full of shit. No, what you do is you take a moderate opinion and associate it with the weirdos and wackos on the far end of the spectrum so that normies will propagate the idea that moderates and people with reasonable-sounding opinions only have those opinions out of bad faith or will just route you into the extremist pipeline without having done any research in the first place (because you shouldn't do your own research anymore anyway).

It's why people who clearly have not watched Drinker's videos claim he's "anti-woke", despite the fact that for all of his faults, he tends to steer away from buzzwords and I can only think of one instance where he used the word "woke" and in that particular video, gave a balanced overview of what it means to different people.
