I don't think it's the men who are successful on dating apps and in the dating market who are complaining like this. It's mostly bitter old men and incels who want to see women be lonely too so they can feel better about themselves. More and more men are lonely, especially in old age because they managed to drive everyone away with their abrasive horrible personalities, more men than women are dying alone in nursing homes with no visitors. It's those lonely men who really really need their cope of "You will die alone with cats if you don't settle for MEEEE!" to be true.

Moids will view women by their relationship to men and won't even consider what women are outside aside from being their girlfriends/wives or the role they expect women to play in their lives. Even in the football dude's speech he says his wife life "didn't begin" until she became a wife and mother, meaning everything she did beforehand and outside her label as his wife doesn't matter to him, and the only part of her identity he consider is that of her being his wife and a mother of his children.
Moids will admit they don't view women as human beings with their own wishes and autonomy until they have a magical epiphany when certain conditions are met (such as them having a daughter), but then cry about how women don't want to date or marry them anymore.
This also makes me wonder how did these types of men somehow managed to get married when they didn't even view their wives as their own equals, friends and as people with their own ups, downs and vulnerabilities until certain conditions are met for them to start viewing them like that?
Because you have to start from somewhere, you have to start from a friendship and getting to know someone fully before getting married to them. I feel like the depressing part of this is not the fact that there men who have a similar view to how this footballer player has, but the possibility that moids that did get married with this worldview probably didn't consider the moments where they bonded with their wives by doing things together, visiting places and just slowly becoming closer to one another through these things as something not worth remembering or important the same way their wives would probably consider these moments to be, because these women weren't the role they wanted them to be beforehand. I dunno I just don't think that's how you're supposed to live and communicate as a human being.

I am just stunned that people still think using/having responsible birth control is some moral something. I was on bc 30 years, except when trying to get pregnant, pregnant, or nursing, or in some orchestrated breaks.

I (respecfully) disagree. I think these guys go for those types of relationships BECAUSE they didnt have a normal traditional family.
My family (and other people i know) was very traditional and it never had anything to do with underage marrige or huge age gaps.
Its usually 2 normal people of the same age range that married in their early 20s and both work because its necesary to keep a family past the year 1969. They both love and respect eachother and since they both work, they hire people to help arround the house or they swich on house chores. But again these men never had that. They only had their single mom take care of them so thats what they belive womens duty to be: to baby them forever.
