"Mad at the Internet" - a/k/a My Psychotherapy Sessions

If anyone's curious, I've been tracking the state of the Hacker News submission here.
I updated the article on Substack because they found out that the post I couldn't find was censored, between 23 May and 15 Sep 2023.

Can YOU spot the difference? https://archive.is/AFERQ

You know how Keffals called Null “the final boss of transphobes”? I’d consider LFJ “the final boss of the Internet as Null sees it.” And reading the whole thing, it’s hard to see this story ending in a way that isn’t “The bad guy wins. The end.”

Honestly, the only thing that seems uplifting is Null’s call to the average person.
Only thing that comes to mind:

I think we need to flip the game table and play by our rules

This was a great read.

I think starting tomorrow I will be more productive. I’ve been getting kinda chubby and I need to shape things up, so I’ll go for a run. I’ve always wanted to read A Clockwork Orange, so I’ll do that too.

I am still perpetually poor and not capable of funding any significant free speech commissions but I could I stand to personally be better than that faggot Liz. Thanks, Josh.

Absolutely crazy a bunch of insane rapists in drag have almost as much pull as the United States Federal Government.
In Dong-Gone's thread, we learned Chinese eunuchs had a bad habit of slithering into positions of power. Turns out, when you can't get rid of that sexual frustration, you start turning that energy to the accumulation of political power.

Same. I'm going to hit the gym and focus on back exercises so I'm not a hunchbacked freak like Elliot Dong-Gone. I'll also reread Atlas Shrugged because I'd rather read something written by an actual woman.

I think it was an excellent point that there’s a problem in the fact that the most ambitious anti-censorship people tend to be out for themselves.

But I think another big problem with anti-censorship cohesion is that truly standing for free speech and against censorship, as a principle, means that it’s almost inevitable that at some point, you’ll have to defend people you otherwise completely disagree with from people you otherwise agree with.

“I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it” sounds noble, until you’re actually faced with defending content that you personally feel is probably harmful to people or society, from people who also think that it is harmful to people or society.

That’s why you so often hear “I’m for freedom of speech, but…”

Really enjoying Durry, thanks for the rec.

I get the feeling Josh waiting a whole week to go over his thoughts and read stuff before talking about Rekieta means this is going to be bad.
Here's hoping Null stands on his neck, pulls him up by his bad dye job, and scalps him live on stream. People who treat their kids like that get me mad as fuck and I crave catharsis.

I just want to be able to say racial slurs and call transexuals "trannies" or "faggots" without having a lot of mouth breathing leftists screeching at me with their -isms and -phobes at the ready. All of these other things? I don't know. I mostly care about saying things that would make the average zoomer wince. It doesn't take much, to be honest.
