The "town hall" was much ado about nothing. He's planning to focus on titles from the 2010s for Discotek. The faithful translation claim seems to contradict what the next slide mentions, that subtitles will be more in line with their standards. He mostly kvetches about how much of a hassle it has been and to keep the best-selling titles in print and reissue current titles with minor changes such as adding a synopsis, etc. Also, if they reissue older titles with significant upgrades, there will be an exchange program that will eventually happen.

Before Discotek was formed, the company was called Eastern Star and they released a lot of softcore sexy films from Japan and Hong Kong along with some gore flicks. I'm guessing those sorts of titles and ecchi stuff from Discotek such as the anime and live action version of Recently My Sister Is Unusual, Kiss x Sis and Miss Machiko. From the sound of it, he wants it to be more of a "prestige" label.

K-on was kind of fun and Queens Blade is great for what it is. Clannad (S1-S2) is something special as far as that kind of series go. A rare series like this that i can enjoy on more than just a fun, cute, relaxing or humor basis.
