Are videogames for children?

Played through No Straight Roads today. Quick little rhythm/action game from Malaysia. It was cringey at times and the actual mechanics were a bit jank but I'm a sucker for games that mix music into them. The art style gave me old 90s/2000s cartoon vibes at times which was neat.

Playing Phantom Brigade next as I also continue to chip away at the side content of Infinite Wealth.

The YLOD finally showed up after I tried to work on it this morning. I think it was just the age of the system rather than the jailbreak itself what broke it.

I will take it to a shop and see if a reballing can bring it back, and if that's too much trouble to fix, then RIP PS3: 2007-2024.

I still have my slim one, but I won’t deny that I am bummed the Fat decided to stop working just when I finally decided to jailbreak it.

Thanks! I will give it a watch and see if I can try this on my slim today.
Once you jailbreak it and install custom firmware. Please tell me what temps you get. Mine's been overheating and stubbornly refuses to fix itself with a repaste (CPU was overheating before repasting and now the GPU is the trouble spot afterwards) and I would like to know how widespread this issue is.

I actually installed the jailbreak earlier in the morning. No problems so far. By the way, this slim is the CECH-2511A model.

I took some photos of the temps with the default fan settings after leaving it idle for 10 minutes on the home screen, and after a gaming session of about 1 hour and a half. It never went under 70/158 degrees, and if it did I didn't noticed.

If there is an option to check the temps while on a game please tell me so I can give you more details.

One thing I did noticed is that the fan revs up suddenly for like 10 seconds on intensive scenes, like on the first Ray fight in MGR or just being on the map in Sonic 06.

Of course this PS3 needs a dusting and a thermals change asap, I will see if I can do it this weekend and update if that makes any difference.

I think it'll be rude to necropost in Elite: Dangerous threads, so I'll ask here- last time I've spend time playing it, about a year ago, I've made it to Vulture with maxed equip (but no engineers) and was making about 1 mil per 1 hour bounty hunting in High Res locations. The next ship I put my eyes on was Alliance Chieftain at 19 mil price (which means at least 30 mil with full equip).
I was thinking about giving the game another go and my question is- is there something I'm missing or 1 mil per 1 hour is the max for combat playing in Vulture? Because I don't really feel like grinding 30 hours for just one ship, just one step. I realise that more powerful ships grind much faster since you shoot down enemy ships faster, but still, with Vulture it feels like there is pit of boring between it and the next step.
What I also don't understand is the spawning mechanic- sometimes I get 3-4 pirate Pythons and Anacondas with 1 mil bounties per ship in a row. But other times I fly and scan for the whole hour, making merely 500k. Is there something I'm missing here too, or is it just that random?

Are there really sources for this or is it another wikipedia ((source))?
People litterally think he was a Samurai because retainers wore armour, their argument is if he wore armour he must have been a LEGENDARY SAMURAI. People will falsify history and take massive jumps in logic just to make Black people feel good about themselves. Its hilarious.

I see, so it's one of those cases where a mentioning of arab merchant in medieval Europe get bloated into Europe was never white? Yeah, if I remember correctly they wore armour, probably of lesser quality and, if memory serves me right, it was in the period when the swords ownership was outlawed, so he couldn't have trained in that.
Just read wikipedia article- even the poz wikipedia says that he was a servant and may not have even been black or african.
Well, what do expect when you hire "body-positive" "I SUPPORT THE CURRENT THING" landwhale as the lead writer? Bitch probably never read a book in her life. I guess they pay her pennies for her "work".

The very same wiki has this quote from Japanese noble Aketchi who said:

"'A black slave is an animal (bestial) and knows nothing, nor is he Japanese, so do not kill him, and place him in the custody at the cathedral of Padre in India."

The Lord Asuke served most likely kept him around for the novelty of having a Black man serve him, and after the lord died, the other Japanese nobility obviously offended by this gave him back to the Jesuits that brought him to Japan. But the truth is no one knows what happened to him after he was sent to India he most likely got sold into slavery again.

Honestly, if it is meant to be Yasuke, it could be a neat story for a deuteragonist, even if you hate niggers you have to admit that "a slave becoming a personal servant of the biggest warlord in the country on a whim" is a pretty interesting plot, especially if the story takes place after Nobunaga's death, altough I'm not expecting much from Ubisoft.
Nah man. Im tired of seeing niggers in everything. After seeing a trailer for that movie "The Woman King" it made me not wanna see anything with black people anymore. This new shitty AC game just reinforces it.

Found out the issue. Reason for the GPU overheating and the fans not doing anything to help is that the screws weren't tightened enough, so no contact was being made. Now, with the system idling at the menu during an FTP transfer (boy howdy, is it slow!), the CPU runs at 67 C and GPU (RSX) runs at 58 C.

Not sure about checking temps whilst in-game. You'll have to look that up yourself.

Glad to know that you fixed it! Now let's see if I don't break mine while replacing the thermals.

Anyone got any game recommendations that run good on the steam deck, I'm going to be on a long ass work trip and want something to pass the time.

Getting ready to buy Greedland from Steam soon. Between this and Cities and Skylines being on sale, I’m actually looking forward to playing both of them.

Figured out how to show temps while in-game. You need to press both sticks at the same time while on the main menu of the system.

Greedland doesn't seem too interesting. But Cities Skylines is a game you should've bought years ago now, cmon man.

Decided to grab a few other metroidvanias after I finished Ori 1 and 2, and Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.

After about four hours of Dust: An Elysian Tale (split over two days), I've completely lost interest in it. I'm glad I got it on sale, because I don't think I'm going to bother finishing it. The combat sucks and the story is boring. I got to a part where some side character I never actually met died, and I just skipped the cutscene of his kid mourning and then the following cutscene of his funeral, because I just couldn't give a shit.
