We already got AC: Japan with Ghost of Tsushima (which I didn't particularly care for, but lots of people seem to like it, and it was definitely better than anything Ubisoft have shat out since FC3) so this would have been redundant even if they hadn't decided to play historical revisionism with the one black (not actually a) samurai.

The AC franchise has been garbage since 2 anyway (4 and Rogue were a brief reprieve) so I'm happy to sit back and laugh at this point.

I thought I could play Elden Ring after so long, almost killed my pc at 80% GPU Usage 15/16 GB RAM Usage 100% Usage on all 4 CPU cores (100C temperature) and stuttered at 15 fps at the lowest settings. Went back to playing DSIII, fml hopefully I get to play it properly someday.

Well... My Fat PS3 just kicked the bucket after I was trying to jail break it. No YLOD, just three beeps after it turns on. I can't even boot it into safe mode.
Was always terrified of that happening. It's why I only do that kind of stuff with fresh systems in case something goes wrong. Good luck getting it to boot again if you try going down that route.

In case of China, imagine working in 996 culture and the last thing they wanted is to think about deeper meaning in a movie when their brain is tired to shit.
I feel that on a personal level. I throw retarded around because it’s fun (and since most people are somewhat retarded), but really it’s just a numbers game. Most people are normies, movies like Transformers are made for normies, and China even when accounting for the agrarian sector still has over double the US population. In that same line of thought, I wonder how the new Assasin’s Creed will do, taking into account that Disney has a history of removing/downplaying black actors from promotional materials and that the Little Mermaid flopped. Black Panther did well though and what applies to movies might not apply to video games at all.

Dunno if this is of any use to you, but MVG recently put up a video about how great/easy PS3 slims are to jailbreak and run and archive PS1-3 games. I think PS3 Slims are pretty cheap to buy second-hand these days.

This is after being posted for ~22 hours.

Like the amazon lord of dem rangz goyslop.

Why on earth would a company deliberately make something hated? Isn’t the point to make money? More fans means more money.

This ESG kikery and DEI niggerfaggotry is extremely judaic and american niggerworship but just from dollars alone it has to end if anyone actually cares about money.

But maybe this is just kikes burning disney to the ground since currency is worthless, so they’re samson-ing white european culture (read: civilization).

The YLOD finally showed up after I tried to work on it this morning. I think it was just the age of the system rather than the jailbreak itself what broke it.

I will take it to a shop and see if a reballing can bring it back, and if that's too much trouble to fix, then RIP PS3: 2007-2024.

I still have my slim one, but I won’t deny that I am bummed the Fat decided to stop working just when I finally decided to jailbreak it.

Thanks! I will give it a watch and see if I can try this on my slim today.

France helped found America. Ubisoft is hopelessly tied to its American studios and financial backers. My point stands every stronger than ever before.

If we wanna be autistic about it we can blame the Masons I guess.
"All americans think about is niggers"

That's you problem, you can't stop thinking about niggers and telling everyone else they think about nigs.

You're projecting

Yeah it has nothing to do with the media constantly shoving niggers into our fucking face 24/7; be it to extol their virtues or decry their grievances

Honestly, the one thing I’ve heard that was a positive in a devil’s advocate kind of way was the fact that Yasuke has very little concrete info about him makes it easy and interesting to have him be a protagonist since you can make stuff up about him for whatever story you want (like what happened with Cocaine Bear), which fits how Assassin’s Creed works with a lot of legends, mythology, and what I guess can be called a loose interpretation of history.

The only issues are 1. It just HAS to be a cultural flashpoint in Current Year (plus 8?) apparently, and 2. Whatever issues somebody would have with Assassin’s Creed as a series and Ubisoft games in general that don’t relate to woke.

Only other things I can say is this:

1. You want a black samurai? Afro Samurai exists. Check that out.

2. I’ve heard that we already have a game that’s “Assassin’s Creed: Feudal Japan” in the form of Ghost of Tsushima. There’s also Sekiro and Rise of The Ronin which are set in or around this same time period. So I’m not sure what AS: Shadows can do besides Yasuke and a kunoichi to set itself out from the crowd or be described as “just another Assassin’s Creed game. When was the last time this series was really freaking good?”

ACKCHYUALLY there was ONE black servant / sword-bearer (the japanese equivalent of the West's page or squire), not a Samurai or anything close to it. He was spared a worse fate because he was in the service of a Jesuit and Japan wasn't very keen on pissing off Jesuits at that moment for various diplomatic and commercial reasons; I guess he made for an interesting conversation piece for the noble he served under. He was treated with as much respect as Japanese nobility could give any foreigner, but he wasn't granted a title or land or sent into cool super-secret missions or anything like that. Eventually his noble was betrayed and killed and our melanated friend was promptly called an animal by the people who were now in charge and returned to the Jesuits as soon as humanly possible to basically vanish from history. Everything else is just fiction, wishful thinking and WE WUZ of the highest order.
This was actually a first hand account by the Japanese the first time they saw a black person
A black bōzu from the Christian country has arrived. He appears to be 26 or 27 years old. The blackness of his body is like that of a bull, and he is healthy and of fine physique. Moreover, he has the strength of more than ten men

The more I think about it, I think this game‘s gonna end up being really funny.

As people have already mentioned, it is going to be a black power fantasy about slaughtering millions of Asians.

But also, I remember that the Assassins Creed games is kind of act like a weird vertical slice of that time period, I remember in assassin’s Creed two you visited da Vinci and a whole bunch of other Renaissance fingers. Assassin’s Creed black flag you visited every single pirate of the golden year of pirating etc... So if the other games are anything to go by, this black kang is going to pretty much visit every single historical figure in Japan at that time and end up becoming a weird progenitor linchpin of all Japanese culture. He’s gonna have a personal connection to every single Japanese Word and government official of the time… probably he’s gonna cuck a huge Japanese figure by fucking his wife…

It’s so tiresome bros…

It is actually crazy how "Assassin's Creed" Ghost of Tsushima is. I wouldn't be surprised if the devs intentionally made the game like that.

The story would need to be adjusted, but not as much as you may think - even the central conflict between MC and his dad could remain and be a callback to Haytham and Connor, since the samurai would be the Japanese "branch" of the templars. The thief girl is the one who convinces MC to use more "dishonorable" tactics, so it's a no brainer to rewrite her into an assassin. The magical artifacts you find are Pieces of Eden. etc etc

Me and my buddies were always salivating at the idea of an Assassin's Creed game set in Japan, but Ubisoft just wouldn't do it, despite it being a slam dunk of an idea, and now they waited so long that someone else did it first. If my childhood dream had not been fulfilled by Ghost of Tsushima already, I'd be upset.

I haven't played an AC game since black flag, but that reason is probably why almost every playable character in the series (save some spin off game) is fictional.

Did you know, that Yasuke is not only the first Samurai of Color, but a very distant ancestor of world renowned live streamer Johnny Somali?

Week old news, but Remedy's CFO is leaving: https://investors.remedygames.com/a...lc-changes-in-remedys-core-management-team-3/

Changes in Remedy’s Core Management Team

Terhi Kauppi, the Chief Financial Officer of Remedy Entertainment Plc (“Remedy”), has resigned to pursue new career opportunities outside of the company and will leave Remedy on June 30, 2024. The company has already started the search for Kauppi’s successor. Kauppi’s responsibilities will be shared by Remedy’s finance team until the new Chief Financial Officer begins in the role.

“Terhi Kauppi joined Remedy in 2018 and has had an important role in developing our finance and administrative function to a state where we can manage well the needs of a larger organization. She also successfully led the project to transition Remedy from the First North Growth Market Finland marketplace to the official list of Nasdaq Helsinki. I warmly thank Terhi Kauppi for her valuable contribution and wish all the best for the next phase in her career”, says Remedy’s CEO Tero Virtala.

With the MMO cancellation and the recent begs for cash, the writing is on the wall.
